lol fek that! am going to bed, got ma twins up for a week!:veryhappy:not seen them in a month!:31:

really though, its good to hear that Lawell is the kind of negotiator we need at a club like ours, many others probably would have buckled or just gave the man what he wanted, not what we want to give!

It does look promising, but I'm cautious to get my hopes up just yet... we really need another top CB to choose from though.

    His agent, Florin Manea said:
"I spoke with (Celtic chief executive) Peter Lawwell on the phone first of all and then there was a meeting in Paris two weeks ago."

"But I've had no contact with Celtic since then and no word from anyone that the deal is on or off."

If that's true many of the media storys have been lies. Read, ONE meeting. How many of us have actully believed the deal have had been in negotiation in a long time?

Once again it show us that we not shall believe in the rumours, and not judge Lawwell for things we actully don't know if true.

Bhoys may still take Tamas - Agent

Auxerre defender Gabriel Tamas could yet join Scottish Premier League champions Celtic after dropping his wage demands, according to his agent.

The Romania international's proposed move to the Bhoys appeared to fall through last week after the Parkhead club reportedly baulked at the 24-year-old's personal terms.
However, his agent Florin Manea insists the deal is still alive and can be finalised as soon as an issue surrounding the £3.5million transfer fee is settled.
"I spoke with Peter Lawwell (Celtic chief executive) on the phone first of all and then there was a meeting in Paris two weeks ago," Manea told the Scottish Daily Express. "But I've had no contact with Celtic since then and no word from anyone that the deal is on or off.
"However, I believe that there is still a chance a deal can be sorted out and there is a willingness from Gabriel to sort it out.
"I was surprised when it was reported that the agent's fee was a problem in the deal.
"That has not been discussed. It is also not accurate to say the player's terms are an issue.
"There was a difference in the first meeting but that is not causing a problem.
"The money Celtic want to pay and what Gabriel is ready to accept is very similar now.
"Celtic have to resolve an issue with Auxerre to make this transfer happen but once that is sorted the player will commit.
"Gabriel's preference is to join Celtic.
"That is why he was willing to reduce his own demands to make it happen."

Prosport in Romania have updated their Tamas story.Anybody speak Romanian??

Yep, media lies to sell papers. I would believe it was one meeting, do you think Lawwell spent 2 weeks in France waiting for an answer? He came, showed him what Celtic was all about, what they had planned for him and left him to mull it over until he sounded out wether the deal was still available or not. Lawwell played hard ball with him and I think it could have worked.
