    i think he is right footed and can play right mid as well i think but he is a v. good CB and has 35 caps for his country and he is only 24 so the age of the side will be really low not sure if he is as good as big bobo in the air but i dont know anyone who is .

    he is good. hes good in the air, on the deck, can make a great pass and can read the game.

    he is a right footed centre back who prefers to play on the right side. he can also play as right back.

    watched him a few times last season. but most of what i have said is based on his Euro performances.

    i would say £3.5m is a good price for him. would like to see Lawwel stamp his wage demand down to about £15k-£20k

    How did he play for Auxerre, they finished 15th of 20 & had the 3rd worst defensive record in the league.

    did he feature much, I'm just not really getting into this guy at all - me thinks he might be *!

    Not saying that mate, but look at Boruc...he's saved us single handedly umpteen times!

    But anyway, I'm just not sure about him is all.

    I'll need to rely that WGS's judgment is on his Boruc, Robson, Naka form & not Gravesen & Donati.

    Lets all wait & see....

    you have a good point there, but a CB is less likely to save a team than a goalie but anyway would you still rather have caldwell in your side cos i for one wouldnt lol :celt_2: TAMAS all the way

    I know that my problem is that I didn't see any Romania games, I watched the highlights on youtube & I think he was posted missing MASSIVELY for Italy's late equaliser.

    I terms of Caldwell...yeah he looked just like him....if that indeed was him (guy marking striker in right CB position at a corner).

    i cannot speak for his whole season, as i have said i have only seen a few of Auxerre's games last season (literally 2 or 3). but the games i did see him in he performed well.

    He made a mistake in that action but I blame Contra more than him in the goal.
    He was close to score against Italy btw, with a strong shot in a free kick that Buffon saved with problems.


    It seems that today he will sign with Celtic.
