It is a big call and Johansen will probably start, maybe the international break will do Johannsen good.

I don't see him starting either, but with Armstrong out I wouldn't be too upset if Rogic played in a wider position.

Start with Rogic, bring Johansen on, may give Stefan the kick up the back side I feel he needs right now.:celt_2:

These games against Aberdeen were pivotal last season and there is nothing to suggest they wont be again at the moment.

Our big players need to start performing again soon. Like you said, the International break could be just what we need for all of them to have a change of environment and hopefully come back raring to go.

Good idea. Let Johansen see he is not indispensable to the team.
Got to hand it to Ronny for dropping Johansen on Saturday.
Maybe he is realising you should only play guys on form, especially in must win games.

    Aye defo..

And to be fair Johansen caused them lots of problems last season..in saying that it's a very competitive position this season and if he doesn't perform then he should be left out. I'm positive he'll get back to where he was and more.

I'd defo give Rogic the start v Aberdeen. On form and I think he would cause them problems. Don't see it being a risk at all, too early in the season for all that talk.

If it's a straight call between Johansen and Rogic there is only one winner.

    And rightly so as well.

    Not at all.
It's the guy who is in form that will play, and Rogic is in form, so thus he will play IMO.
Ronny dropped Johansen on Saturday for a good reason.
We can't afford passengers against Aberdeen.

It's a good game to give Rogic the start, much more competitive game than St Johnstone at home and away at Partick. Let's see how he handles it.

    I'm glad you've said that.

It means Johansen is a guaranteed starter.

And we've got Ajax to think of..

Rightly or wrongly Johansen will start tho, just think Rogic has done enough to avoid the drop.

Johansen shouldn't be anywhere near the team after his recent form, particularly against Malmo - both home and away he was abysmal. If I was the manager, he'd be lucky to make the bench.

    Rogic every match henceforth, IMO.

Johansen is all over the place right now. I would give Rogic a start, no one is untouchable, especially when their consistency goes out the window.

I'm glad things are picking up for him. I was excited when we first bought him which now feels like many moons ago. I remember him having a decent debut but he never got a look in because Commons was the main man then, and Lennon had a favourite team that he would hardly ever change. I can't believe how many people would tell me that he is pish or * when 1) Lennon only gave him a measly 10/15 minutes here and there, and 2) he got a bad injury at the worst time.

You could always see that he had quality. Even from training videos etc. Ronny is giving him a chance now and he seems to be taking it. I think there is a lot more to come from him though. Needs to assert himself more, I feel like Rogic lacks confidence at times.

Really hope he does what Bitton did. On the outskirts of the team for a his first couple of seasons due to injuries, form or not being picked, but once he got a run of games he soon became one of our most influential players.
    Grab your chance Tommy bhoy!

We have an abundance of talent, even if it doesn't look like we do right now. Things are going to be tough for him. He may find his chances of permanent selection are enhanced by playing deeper, maybe instead of Biton. For the AM position, he's going to have to fight not just Stefan but Kris, as well, who is much better central than wide. Not to mention Armstrong can play there, McGregor can, etc.

I'm just glad he's injury free and getting match fitness, for now.
