See being honest it’s more a selection issue than a Rogic issue. He was miles of his best yesterday but being asked to go and press like a second striker doesn’t suit his game, as soon as they get passed him he is never going to get back and catch anyone.

He managed to find pockets of space at Ibrox dropping between the lines but Bassey just followed and fouled him all over the place and Madden let it happen.

I find it strange we have resorted to these different tactics against them since dominating them at Celtic Park, we also tried it at home to Bodo/Glimt and it didn’t work.

O’Reilly is the starter for me now for the run in, he adds more overall to the team. Rogic can come up with those moments of magic but he can be like a man down at times as well.

It was obvious that the huns targeted the big man from the off. Bassey was allowed to stop him by every means available to a player who knows the referee won't penalise him for it. There were sometimes three players around him at times and although big Tam can usually force his way through them, it wasn't happening due to Madhun's blatant cheating.

Thought he was very good when he came on. Played a lovely pass to switch the play too.

I think he'll have an absolute stormer against them on Sunday, whether or not he starts or comes off the bench.

I know we've all got PTSD from the Bodo games but I want to see him in the team with O'Riley again.

O'Riley was fantastic in the first half yesterday. Then Rogic came on and was very good too. Despite being similar players, O'Riley's passing is superior and Rogic is the better dribbler. Saying that, O'Riley's footwork was great yesterday and Rogic played the pass of the game with the outside of his boot.

Domestically a midfield trio of McGregor, O'Riley and Rogic is more than good enough. I would even try O'Riley in the 6 with McGregor further forward, I'm sure I heard he has played there at times in his career.

There is no way we can run with a midfield trio of CMcG, Tam and Mark against the huns, we will get totally over run in midfield. Maybe worth a try against SPL dross.

Orileys passing isnt better ffs, hes been here 2 mins and hes now better than mcstay. Boy looks like a great addition but hes not better at anything yet, Rogic deft passes are probably the best in the league, never mind the team.

Its nearly as good as oriley offers more defensive cover, lol.

Not doubting that some of Rogic's passing is sublime too. I'm probably his biggest fan on here.

In terms of consistency of execution though, I reckon O'Riley has the edge. He's not been here long but is constantly opening up teams with through balls through the middle and into the channels. He played a perfect one the other day to Kyogo for his "offside" goal.

I agree with you mate, they are fairly similar,, both got a great first touch for big guys, great passes from both that can change a game but I think because of 1 match v bodo people just assuming now they can’t play together, certainly wouldn’t risk v Huns but still think room for both if played correctly

    It is.

    He does.

Rogic is a good player but he's not untouchable. To say O'Riley isn't better than him at anything is strange.
