    I don't remember his best games either that's why I asked :56:

To be honest I don't remember ever praising him, but he is one of those players who divide opinion. I know he got a MOTM on his debut but I don't think he was amazing that day, just happened to be one of the best performances of our players for that game.

I'm not saying he's *, I was excited when we signed him. He just hasn't lived up to the expectation or put in more than a couple decent performances.

For those who are in love.....
Honestly i reckon we should just cut him loose..

I've not been impressed, inverness and a couple of friendlies (yes friendlies we were hammered in) he was decent..

Did he not play a game or 2 for the aussies after getting in the 30? Thought i read somewhere he had a niggle and played poorly in a game..
Either way it's a kicker in his career..

He was an untested show business type of footballer . He won some type of X factor competition but I don't think he will ever be able to compete in the rough and tumble of a competitive game . He was worth a gamble but he really was a gamble and I think we lost .

He has 9 caps for Australia and played well enough at Central Coast to earn a move to us. I'm sure those were competitive games.

Well there goes any hope of selling him on anytime soon. At least he'll be fit for the new season. He can certainly play a bit, but he needs to show a lot more aggression in midfield.

Agreed . His touch is fanatastic and can pass the ball and create but lacks the physical presence. Right now i cant see him dislodging Biton who looks to have a bit of everything thats needed. Lets hope he gets back properly after his injury too and doesnt tail off like Kayal.

Gutted for the lad. Let's hope he gets a good pre-season under his belt and gets a chance in the team next season.

Sorry to see him miss out on the World Cup. If he can't get into a dire Australian squad then I don't hold out much hope for him unfortunately.

    * shame, was looking forward to seeing how he fitted into what is frankly an insipid Aussie team. It means he'll have time to recuperate over the next couple of months before joining back up with us, though.

TOM ROGIC has sent out a 'remember me' plea to Celtic boss Ronny Deila as he recovers from two painful cuts.

The Aussie midfielder is determined to bounce back from the double whammy of missing out on this summer's World Cup finals and requiring an operation which has prevented him showing the new Hoops manager what he can bring to his team.

The adductor muscle injury which restricted Rogic's appearances for Melbourne Victory - where he was sent on loan in January - and, ultimately, cost him his spot in the Oz squad which travelled to Brazil forced him under the knife when he returned to Scotland a fortnight ago.

Rogic has since been joined on the Hoops' rehab list by skipper Scott Brown and winger James Forrest. But, unlike the two first-team regulars, he has still to provide Deila with any real archive evidence of why he should be in his plans.

The man who replaced Neil Lennon as boss has shown a penchant for giving young players the opportunity to impress. And this is only serving to add to Rogic's frustration that he is unable to show the manager what he has to offer and begin to make up for the time lost during his 18 months as a Celtic player.

He said: "It's been ongoing, a pretty common injury for players. I'm very confident I'll bounce back and be fine. The injury was restricting me too much.

"Towards the end, it was difficult to get around the pitch, let alone do the things I wanted to do."

Despite his setbacks, the 21-year-old is trying hard to remain philosophical and positive as he begins the road back to full fitness, which is expected to last for another month at least.

He had attempted to avoid surgery, but, after losing out when the Aussie World Cup squad was cut from 26 to 23, eventually had to concede it was the only way to resolve the issue which was proving such a handicap.

But he has come to terms with missing out, and said: "It wasn't to be, but it's behind me now and I'll look forward to the future."

Rogic accepts he still has much to prove following his £400,000 move to Celtic.

But, with his surgery behind him, he now hopes to be able to go all out to impress the new manager.

"Injuries happen in football," said Rogic. "It's about how you deal with it and bounce back from it. That's the most important thing, and I'm confident for the future."

Short term, Rogic has his sights set on getting back to full fitness and winning a place in the Celtic side.

Longer term, he is already aiming to regain his international place and be part of the next World Cup finals, in Russia in 2018.

Next year's Asia Cup, to be staged in Australia, would be a big stepping stone towards this as the Aussie side is rebuilt following their Group Stage exit in Brazil.

But, Rogic has learned not to plan too far ahead, and said: "Four years ago I was the bloke from Canberra who never got picked for anything.

"Things change quickly, and I'm grateful for the position I'm in.

"Four years is a long time, but of course I hope to be there next time."

I really want him to get a chance. If he gets it and isn't good enough then fair enough but at least that would have given him some time to play games. He really hasn't had that since he came here and I don't just want him to disappear without putting up a fight.

I still believe he has talent, certainly a creative player with good vision, something we lack at times to unlock 11 man defences in the league.

    Genuinely feel sorry for him.

If Rogic doesn't get a chance on the pitch its because he hasn't worked hard enough in training . He's recovering from surgery now and it can't be easy for him but he has to do his best , so that he attracts Ronnie 's eye .

I'd also be worried that he won't suit our new style whatsoever. I remember Lennon played him out of position quite deep and he didn't look comfortable the times I saw him there, probably best suited to being right up behind the strikers, similar to Commons.

He'd definitely need to work on the defensive side of his game.

With the greatest respect , weekender offender As fans I don't think we saw enough of Rogic to know what his best position is . It's quite common for a manager to play a new player in the place best suited for the team . The manager is hardly likely to play him completely out of position . If Rogic was good enough he would have proved himself good enough for Lennon and I am sure he will get himself a chance with Ronnie as well.
