Been on this forum for a few years now.
What I've picked up so far.

    Forster wasn't good enough.
    McGeady wasn't good enough.
    Sammy wasn't good enough.
    Brown wasn't good enough.
(If you go back and read a majority if posts early on in their career at Celtic.)

Seems like the young lad is in good company.

The only 2 I would agree with on that list are Brown and Samaras. I think criticism of both was valid given Brown's price tag and Samaras' general uselessness for 12 months.

Not saying Rogic definitely won't make it, but he's got a long way to go just now.

Vidmar: Rogic's Aussie place in jeopardy

CELTIC fringe star Tom Rogic may have to quit the champions if he is to keep his World Cup dream alive, according to Australia coach and former Rangers star Tony Vidmar.

The 20-year-old talent has made just four league starts since signing for the Hoops last season and hasn't been seen in a Celtic shirt since starting in the shock Scottish League Cup defeat to Morton last month.

Rogic is highly-rated in his homeland and is challenging for a starting spot with the Socceroos, who were one of the first teams to qualify for Brazil next year, after winning seven caps already.

But they have a new boss in Ange Postecoglou and Vidmar - who is now manager of Australia's youth teams - reckons Rogic is in danger of missing out unless Neil Lennon starts playing him.

Vidmar said: "He hasn't had much game time and it'd be frustrating for him.

"It's up to Ange to see if he's going to throw him in there.

"Do you need to be playing regularly for your club as a prerequisite or is Ange going to go with the best players irrespective of game time?

"When you're an established player you've got a good chance of getting into the first team, but Tom's at an age where he's still developing.

"Is it the right environment where he can develop? I don't know. We'll know in the next few years.''

I could go on and name about ten players that have been slated by posters on this sight at the start of their careers at Celtic.

I must admit I didn't rate Sammy at all either mate, but glad to be proven wrong.

Sammy was incredible when he first joined us.

If anything, the success he had early on is what eventually got supporters on his back.

Rogic should go out on loan in January and let him fight for his WC place. Then he can come back in the close season and take one more shot at making it at Celtic.

Izzi was good enough , so was Kayal........ Then they weren't .......and now they are again. Van Dijk or Ambose will have a few bad games and then it will be their turn to be deemed not good enough.

Guys are always written off on here before theve barley started. Don't get me wrong that's not just a Celtic thing though.

Football fans are a fickle lot.

Think that would be the best option. He needs to play in a run of competitive games. The Australians obviously rate him, so lets loan him, let him fight for his WC place and show us if he is any good.

Loan him out to Lierse. Might form a good understanding with Watt if Tony can drag himself out of La Roccha. :smiley-laughing002:

if we were to loan him out i would want it to be to another spl team i think the reason he hasent played much is due to the pace of the spl any time i seen him he always looked like he needed too much time i would compare it to the way ki was when he first arrived.

"I don't rate what I have seen so far" what a joke he hasn't had any chance! Don't comment on this forum a lot just look through but that really annoys me! People are so quick to slate a player but not as quick to hold there hands up when they end up having a brilliant game and proving them wrong

I'm still waiting on them turning on Van Dijk after a mistake.

Don't think he's going to make it here, simply because he's not getting a chance. I've been quite impresses with him so far but hey ho.

Lennon is really * me off, regarding Rogic. He signed him after a trial, so must have been impressed, and we kept hearing great things about him. Plus the fact he is a creative player - which we badly * need. Yet the little game time he does get, Lennon has him play deeper than he is used to, limiting his attacking ability.

    Utter pish from Lennon.

    * me off to see him not getting any time. Lennon is wasting away the potential of this lad who should be the creative central player we've been dying for. He might not exactly fit in the system or be physically as strong as the rest of the players but he was shredding teams that would be as good as scottish clubs in Australia and Asia. He should be sent on loan to somewhere on the continent to get some game time in January or we are just wasting him.

He played against Morton and he was absolutely terrible, that wouldn't have helped his chances.

I'm getting * off with Lennon to regarding Tom. I was screaming to get him in yesterday, we needed the creative vision and dribbling skills for a match like that yesterday.

He started against Morton, what seemed like a nice, easy game to get him imbedded in the team and he was * dreadful.

He has had some game time though. I'm not sure if it's in his natural position or not but against Morton for instance, where we would've expected a player of his ability to stand out, he looked poor.

I was delighted when he signed and bought into a lot of the hype around him. So far he's been a bit of a let down, but maybe some of that has to do with the initial hype. I don't think it helped that he was being talked up as much by some of the Aussie guys on here. There have been some on here suggesting that he should take Commons place in the team, but that's just nonsense. From what I've seen so far Commons is by far the better player.

It's the same with any young player really. You'll get game time (maybe less than you would like to get), but you need to impress when you have the chance.
