Rogic has talent I know that, his vision is second to none but he is played out of position. There's nothing anyone can do bar Lennon.

He has done NOTHING to earn more play-time. Extremelly hyped up player for no big reason. Loan him out or try to make a few quid.

He looks like he has the potential to be a good player but I agree he has done next to nothing to earn a starting place. I trust in lennons judgement with him.

But Lennon's never given him a go at #10. * sakes...may as well play the poor * in goals.

No-one...and I mean NO-ONE...at Celtic has got his skill, footspeed, and vision. But Lenny plays him as a * holding midfielder and gives him ten minutes when everyone has shut up shop.

Mind you, Celtic are completely unchallenged in Scotland so why would he do anything else. Then as soon as Celtic play a good technical side in the CL, and need technical players like Rogic, he's not been part of the first team and no-one's on his wavelength.

Celtic's loss. FFS send him out on loan if he's not getting a game.

We played him as a number 10 against Morton and he was beyond *.

And he is nowehere near Commons in terms of vision. Looks a tody player, decent on the ball, simple passing. Bit of a * but theres potential there.

    Lay off the drugs mate.

The A League is below the SPL. Judging a league based on one friendly against us is absolutely ludicrous. I take it last year we could have made the argument that the SPL is better than La Liga because the SPL's strongest team beat La Liga's strongest team?

The A League is not full of great technical players. Probably about the best player the leagues produced is Marco Rojas who I believe is now at Stuttgart and thats it. The A League is below the SPL, thats why you have players like Billy Mehmet and some other old Scottish rejects heading down there. For a pay day and an easy life.

Infact it just shows you, one of the A Leagues top strikers in recent years is Shane Smeltz who didnt make it at AFC Wimbledon or Halifax town so went back to Australia. If one of your leagues top strikers cant even make it in the lower English leagues, how can you try and big up the A League?

Your arguments a joke mate. Away and take a look at yourself.

Don't get me wrong - I'm a Celtic fan (and quite like Hibs also) but the comp is so uneven. The bottom team in the A-League would stand a decent chance of beating anyone in the SPL but there's no way the likes of St Mirren, Ross County and Partick Thistle would stand up to the bottom team in the A-League, which has improved out of sight in the last couple of years.

And don't rate the A-League by the exploits of our hapless national team. The NT (rated 14 in the world only a couple of years ago) was hijacked by a cabal of aging cronies who are about to be ditched now the gone-native German coach has been sacked. There are plenty of decent young Aussie players who've been waiting in the wings and we'll be storming back up the FIFA rankings as soon as the dead wood is gone.

Rogic ought to be one of them but he's completely lost momentum by being in the wrong team in the wrong league and not playing.

He's not been playing because he isn't good enough.

He's also been injured for the majority of this season but that's another thing.

Mariners beat Celtic in a friendly, get over yourself, for *'s sake. :56: Celtic beat Barcelona in a competitive tie, so is the SPL, and ergo the A-League, better than La Liga? The A-League is a * non-entity. Your clubs never have and never will achieve anything.

If he's good enough, the games will come. There's competition for places at Celtic. Rarely do unestablished players walk into our first team. He's still young, so he has time on his side. He'll achieve far more at Celtic than at Reading or any club in Australia if he works hard and bides his time.

How many A-League players go on to play in "the greatest league in the world"? England's top flight is full of former SPL players.

Is Liam Miller still one of the highest paid players in the A-League?

    You're kidding yourself mate.

Billy Mehmet is a sub SPL quality player and he was one of Perth Glory's best players and scored 14 in 30 odd games as a midfielder. They made it to the finals so are obviously one of the top teams in Australia. How can you say our teams would struggle against your bottom of the league teams, whenever a player from one of the worst teams in our top flight was playing for one of the best teams in Australia? You must be off your rocker!

The A Leagues all time top scorer, Shane Smeltz, was a failure at lower league English teams. You dont seem to be acknowledging these facts that show the A League is absolute pish.

Look at another of Perths top players, Steven McGarry. A previous Ross County and Motherwell player who theyve sold off to you lot a few years ago. Hardly a superstar yet is one of Perths best players.

Players like Matt McKay, Rangers reject, plied his trade in China/South Korea then went to Australia. He was a Rangers reject yet hes a marquee player for Brisbane. Says it all mate. He was punted after 3 games for Rangers yet he's a top player down there.

Look at the rest of the teams marquee players or top players. Thomas Broich, Brisbane marquee player, FC Nurnberg reject, goes to Australia. Rejected from a * German team but is a start in Australia.

Archie Thompson, another one of the leagues best strikers. Has played for noteable clubs such as Marconi Stallions (amateurs), Lierse and now Melbourne. Was loaned to PSV for 2 games, was obviously a waste of space so was sent back and is a superstar in Australia. Must be a great player when up until the age of 25 he was playing * football.

Shinji Ono, another one of the leagues best players/midfielders. Done OK back nearly 10 years ago for Feyenoord then career went downhill and after ending up at Japanese club S Pulse, went to Australia for a pay day.

Do you want me to keep ripping your argument apart or can I stop now? Face it, your league is crap. It's for washed up players or rejects. They're that bad that back when I was in Australia I remember a few clubs were having friendlies with local * teams, infact back when Gold Coast formed I seen them get beat by a team in Nerang that was full of school kids and amateurs. The leagues a joke mate, face it. It doesn't come close to the SPL (also a poor league).

I've watched some of the A-League highlights on BT Sport and tbh it does look quite entertaining, very lax almost futsal like style of play though.

If Judas Miller (the original) can be a star there along with Billy Mehmet it doesn't really stand head and shoulders above the SPL does it?

Any player who is good enough should stand out in the SPL. Rogic had one right good game last season but that was it really.

Before we signed him he was on 3 goals and 2 assists in eleven games. Season before 2 goals and 2 assists - that's not exactly putting him in line to win the Ballon d'Or now is it.

It's all very well playing against Jordan, Oman and Iraq, but we're up against AC Milan, Barcelona and Ajax. That's a whole different level altogether.

The SPL, he should really be able to waltz through these games. I do agree that he hasn't been played in the right position, but nobody says to the players, play right midfield and stay in this wee pocket the whole game. It's up to the player to take on board the manager's guidance, but to bring his own twist based upon the skills he has and his desire to go out and show it.

I just reckon he's not got the menace about him that Scott Brown has or the vision and technique that Commons has and Sammy is just on a whole different level as an attacking threat. Add to that the system we play and Rogic doesn't really fit at this moment in time, whereas Biton looks like a far more interesting player.

But, if you want to make money selling players on. you need to play them and get them in among the goals. If he does that he'll be fine.

Obviously a league that's only near a decade old is not going to be rivaling la Liga anytime soon.
But it's a good league getting decent crowds that will hopefully evolve over time and produce and nurture home grown talent.
One thing people need to know is how anti football the media is in Australia.
They have their own code and agenda and want us to fail so badly. So what we have done in a short time without any real media support is quite miraculous.

Putting each others league down is sounding scarily like those ingurlish twats that think the EPL is the benchmark and have a crack at our standard in the SFPL every chance they get. IMHO.
    It doesn't help.

I am in Australia and love the Aleague.
Been a Melbourne member since day one.
We all have high expectations for young Rogic and some get a bit frustrated that his development may be obstructed by the lack of chances at Parkhead.
I would love to have another Aussie flying the flag for us at Celtic.
It gives me a buzz and helps promote the great club and the game itself down here when one of our bhoys do well and it's shown on the tele.
I am still hopeful and just hope that patience and perseverance prevails.
He is still a young lad remember.

And if all else fails, Jackson Irvine is gonna be a star!

Anyway I had high hopes for rogic but I must admit I think he looks quite poor..
Slow, doesn't like mixing it(tackling wise),wants too much time on the ball etc..

100% get him loaned out in jan..

Hopefully he comes back a better player, again he's a young player who needs time..
It's just the way he was built up ha left me expecting a little well a lot more and seeing nothing..

let's thank our lucky one golden star that he isn't a timid *. :icon_mrgreen:

I'm still quite hopeful for Rogic. He has only got playing club football for a couple of years, and also got discovered in a country that isn't still huge on football.
But a loan move would be of massive benefit. Needs to get into week to week hussle of the Scottish game.

(and tbh, that's not just for Rogic....same for other lads.).
