I think the point Sween was making was that it's a society wide issue in the UK, not just a football one. I think it's fair to say we have a destructive relationship with alcohol here and it's probably the single biggest negative influencer on society (compared to smoking, cannabis, drugs etc). I travel in Europe a fair bit and despite drinking similar amounts, the relationship with booze seems to be more positive.

On the Lee Rigby stuff - I hate hearing this sort of thing happening. Not even in a footballing/tribal sense or anything like that, it's just depressing that people could be that morbid about what was essentially just a random young lad getting butchered in the streets. There's absolutely no need for that *. I'm not someone who tries to downplay the political element of our club, but there's a difference between being in favour or against particular political ideologies or factions and just glorifying absolute savagery.

The reaction by some on here to the Lee Rigby video comes as no surprise , a few think its ok for our fans to be seen all over the world chanting this sort of sick * ,others dont give a * about it but will defend the knuckledraggers right to sing and video this sort of crap no matter the amount of hellish bad publicity it will bring to the club !! For many on here and in our support in general it appears that the club and the team are secondary and football is slowly but surely being overtaken by social affairs !! These people on that video wearing celtic tops and colours are a disgrace as are the clowns defending them .......

a) you're not one anyway
b) you really should * off then

Where is the faux-outrage when REAL crimes have been committed? Where are yous * with your threads anytime a Celtic supporter has been jailed for assault, for theft, for murder or anything dastardly like that?

Are there any threads or posts like "My *, I am totally embarrassed to be a Celtic supporter right now" when there's e.g. a pic of a * in a Celtic top in the papers accused of murder etc?

You'll notice in all this, nobody came out and had a go at the EDL....nobody asks whether the judgement to hold two events on the same day, was anything other than setting up an environment for trouble.
Nobody says, hey Celtic just pumped one of the favorites to win the Championship, 5-0. Maybe they could handle playing in England.
The worst thing of all though is how Rangers fans react to this over the coming season. So for me Tommy and the EDL are a security threat to be monitored more closely.
You would hope the security services would do this, but it looks like maybe they are on Tommy's side. Celtic fans won't denounce a religion that's been heavily attacked by the MSM.
So if they get the message out that Islam is this or that, and they've coverage to support that all over the mainstream media, why do they need Celtic fans to stand up and denounce Islam?
I'll have a look into this today, "meme's and the EDL" should be interesting. Serco have huge ties to Glasgow City Council and that is your link between the security services and Indyref. Seems like the same channels are being used. When you cut through the bullshit you'll probably find a "common purpose".

It's hilarious that the bawbag says he got a rangers shirt handed to him in the shop, I right mate. Travelled down in a Rangers kit, planned weeks before the game to come down with his skinheads and stir the pot. To be fair from what I seen, the sun (I know) did put the blame on him which I was pleasantly surprised at. Thought the headline would have been "Innocent English man attacked in shop".

 

Agree and disagree all you like but those continually ignoring the warnings about posting irrelevant images in any Celtic chat threads will be joining the several others already been sent on holiday over the last few days.

Absolutely, without doubt, the most * up reply on this forum in a long time... and there have been some belters of recent.

The shock & embarasssment is over the fact that:

1. Someone is so screwed up in the head, they actually took time to make up the song.

2. That one of our supporters is seriously that thick to even put it on Facebook ffs!!!

3. It's just plain wrong.

4. And finally, remember it's a forum....not everybody has to post a view on everything. That's the problem nowadays, too many people have views on everything.... opening their mouths before engaging the brain & waffling complete *.
