:56: I hate when people judge a player based on ONE game, he scored 2 against Brazil and had a good game, you could have watched him for Dortmund having a terrible game - would he then be a terrible player in your books? Zurawski scored against Real Madrid. Doesn't make him a world-beater.

I'd like us to focus more on the Eastern European market, must be a few decent strikers there surely? Be relatively cheap aswell.

well said mate. I have been watching the bundesliga and he's a dud. no wonder even BVB supporters wanted him out.

just some names of players whose contracts run out this summer:

    Angelos Charisteas
    Boubacar Sanogo
    Fernando Morientes
    Nikola Zigic
    Robert Acquafresca
    Andriy Shevchenko
    Jo
    Amr Zaki
    Craig Beattie :icon_mrgreen:

I thought Zigic was wanted by some premiership teams. I'm sure spurs were interested so it would be doubtful. But if you don't ask you don't get. Wouldn'y mind seeing the big guy at CP

    Wouldn't take Zigic, Trollhammaren.

I'd suggest Jovanovic from Standard. Class guy, but he'd be expensive.

Janko would be good, but expensive, too.

Gudjohnsen, but he's about to sign for Lyon.

Pantelic from Hertha, but he isn't cheap, either. He's on verge of leaving Hertha, so we could make a move.

Andre-Pierre Gignac from Toulouse. Great player, only 23 and he was one of the best scorers of Ligue 1.

Roman Pavlyuchenko. He didn't succeed with Spurs, so we could ake a move for him. But, he would be very expensive, both transfer cash and wages.

Stevan Jovetic from Fiorentina. Montenegrin youngster who isn't getting much chance in Florence team, so CP may be his next stop.

Ivan Rakitic from Schalke. Excellent player. Good prospect, too.

Am not judging him on 1 game mate av seen a * of a lot of him and imo he is the real deal and the type of player we should have on our books when he was playing in the danish league he scored 33 goals on about 40 odd games and the fans loved him>>>> he was a regular starter but he hasnt shown his full potential in germany although he did score 13 in 15 games at mainz in 2007 !!!

I have watched him for egypt and every time i watch them i am impressed with him!!!

Av seen a lot of names through around in this post and a lot of them are total garbage and are no better than what we alreaddy have at our disposal:50:

Good one there. Even now when he's 30, he's good. But, I'm afraid he already signed for PSG for 4.5 mills.

    The Celtic Song, YNWA.
Marc Janko, Obafemi Martins and Pavlychenko. Chamakh of Bordeux would be amazing but i heard him linked with Fulham and Arsenal today on Setanta, hes around 6 or 7 mill too they said

Steven Fletcher is the reality of what we will bring in though:56:

Think he's a bit of an upstart from what's been said, look at all the clubs he's been a recently.

Was good for Watford a few years ago, but since his injury he's been hot and cold.

Jason Roberts is a good shout, big strong and pacy.

I think we need someone with pace though, as we lack that up front bar Sammy.

David Nugent, would get him for pennies and if you could get him playing like he did at Preston you'd have a player.

Scott robinson from hearts, went to school with the boy from a young age he was head and shoulders above the rest. He scored for the under 19s when he was 16 coming off the bench for the last few mins. And is now in the Hearts first team.
