Do you think it's acceptable to bite a fellow professional? Like.. he actually went in behind him and dug his teeth into his shoulder. It's vile and totally unacceptable.

Reckless tackles happen. Sometimes people go in a bit too loosely and end up getting sent off for it. That's part of the game and there's nothing you can really do about it except send the offender off. If you start banning players for prolonged periods for bad tackles it'll totally eradicate tackling from the game which obviously can't happen.

Biting is a totally different story. It's one man sinking his teeth into another for no apparent reason. You can't get a slap on the wrist for that, especially when it's your third time.

I don't really understand why you're defending him.

 

Its a sad situation...this guy appears to have a screw loose somewhere in his head. As a professional football player, he is totally gifted but seems like he cant get over his apparent "biting" problem. All cameras are on him, how he thinks he will get away from this is ludacris. Shame too. If he recieves a ban of say 24+ matches, it will hurt liverpool more than this idiot. He doesnt see this what so ever.

 

So a rest of the world cup ban could be anything from 1 to 4 games, I don't think he'll mind an International suspension tbh keeps him fresh for Liverpool without travelling half way round the world
