Needs to play through the middle. Based on johansens performance tonight I would drop him and give Armstrong a start there. Ronny won't though :54:

Cool mate :50: I think he will show more creativity in the league as the season progresses. There might still be a bit of a nerve thing in terms of efforts at goal too. I see your point though.

I like Amstrong in current team but genuine question,is he any better than Stephen Pearson was when he joined?

He's not a left sided midfielder.

Thought Armstrong was one of our better performers going forward. Strong direct running gave them a hard time and used the ball better than most. Played a decent through ball for Johansen's chance.

Said it when we signed him and happily say it again. He will be more valuable to the side than Mackay Steven will.

He's not a wide player and I fear he'll find it very difficult to get into the side once we find a proper left winger. Our captain, Nirlo and Our POTY have the midfield positions nailed down.

I thought he put a good shift in, as usual.

Deila clearly likes him there for the work ethic but he looks twice the player through centrally.

If we qualify for the groups we have to sign a natural winger.

Work ethic counts for nothing if he doesn't fix his positioning when he's on the left. He never helps the left back, he's 5/10 yards further centrally in field than he's supposed to be. Leaves us far to exposed.

Needs to sort it if he's playing there.

Really like Armstrong as a player. Intelligent, quick, creative and a good touch. However, if he is going to play on the left, he will need to develop his game a bit with regard to positioning and ball retention. I am sure that the coaching team will be working on this.

Great game the day, near enough everything showed, passing, crossing, defending, attacking, work-rate, pace, energy and a couple of goals. Even before he scored I thought him and Brown ran amok.

Excellent performance today. Even without his goals I think he'd have been in contention for MOTM.

    Must start on Wednesday.

Best he's played in a while. Needed a goal.

He skied a shot earlier on in the game and I was thinking that his shooting is a weak part of his game. But his first was a cracker.

I've always liked him. Very comfortable on the ball, always looks like he has time and space, uses it well. Good player.
