Honestly don't think he had the worst game tonight.

How many times before Ronny realises he can't play on the wing

Poor again not convinced with this guy. If he is not a natural wide player put him on the bench and get a natural wide player. Don't just play him regardless of his contribution and find where his best position is and let him fight for the jersey. This is Celtic remember.

Yep. He was non-existent tonight again. I believe in him. But just now he's not delivering.

Played well in the first half.

    Far better than GMS.

Shoehorned into the side due to a lack of options. Central or bench please.

His best work is when he's inside. Looks * lost running down that left wing.

GMS was clearly pinpointed by them as a threat though. They were all over him as soon as he got the ball. Couldn't do much.

I thought he played alright tonight. He has an eye for a pass and his weight of through ball is terrific. Would be far better playing centrally though.

There was one point in the first half he was tracking back and gave an all-out sprint for a good 50-60 yards! Great mentality. Well in mate!

Thought he put a real shift in tonight as well. Certainly doesn't warrant any negativity in my opinion..

" Put in a shift " - it's all i hear about Armstrong. We paid good money for him and he is supposed to be an attacking midfield playmaker - needs to do far more .

He will grow into our team and become a mainstay for years to come. He has the brain, he has the attitude and he has the ability.

To be fair, it's not his fault he's being played in a position that doesn't suit him.

He's a 23 year old who has played about 15 games for us in a system he has never played before in what is probably not his best position. Think he's done ok so far. I will say though, he was more of a playmaker at Utd, maybe shone as the rest were so * though.

Out of interest, what player are you expecting him to be like? Not being wide here, just curious :50:

Don't get the negativity about Armstrong. Any game he doesn't score in there's people on here after it saying he's * on the left and shouldn't be starting.

Personally, I'd say he's our best all round left mid. Stokes and Commons offer nothing defensively, so playing them out left tonight would have been obscene considering our game plan. Forrest would have embarrassed himself as usual, and Derk would be off injured after 10 minutes.

His lack of impact in attack tonight might have had something to do with the ref doing his best to stop every attack we had.

Not expecting him to be like any player in particular , just hoped he would be more creative and more of a goal threat . Plays almost like a sitting midfielder but in the final third . Sideways passing with no conviction when he does get in or around the box .

Had a touch like Josef Fritzl tonight. Woeful.

I like him as a player but putting in a shift counts for nothing, his end balls were useless.

Couldn't have done much more tonight to be fair. He had a thankless task and did it well.
