Wealthy people who don't have families. Just a city break innit. Stockholm would be a good place if you have a lot of cash.

He went with Charlie Telfer and was asking Lustig out on his instagram comments, haha

So if we potentially have Mcgeady GMS Forrest and maybe janko for the wings where will he play next season in the number 10 with Johansen Kris and maybe rogic I've seen a few in here saying he can fill in for brown or bitton don't recall him ever playing deep wasn't impressed with I'm on the left at all really but expect him to kick on this year

Still think he's the long term replacement for Brown centrally. I do think he's one of the first names of the team-sheet no matter where he plays, on the left or otherwise.

Nothing to do with " standards " - what is lower in the size of the population , and the size of the talent pool , so inevitably , you will have a weaker national set up than England.

Not heard him been referred to by this here yet, but Utd fans called him 'Stretch' . I'm gonna adopt that from now on.

Cue the jokes about GMS wanting a go at playing with him...

Quality in the commentating position today, he missed GMS's goal because "as the ball was played in, the pies were also played in" :56:

I don't think it's that bad. He's just speaking Scottish English with a slight Invernesian accent. If I were doing interviews and the like, I'd speak Scottish English rather than Scots because it's a more appropriate register.

He's on a decent wage, so no surprise that he's holidaying in Stockholm. I'd be doing the same. :smiley-laughing002:

It's the kind of language teachers, doctors, et al. would use in a professional context (or the kind you might use in an interview with the media). I'd use Scottish English in that context, whereas I'd probably use Scots when I'm speaking to family and friends. It's called style-shifting. :icon_mrgreen:

He only sounds 'posh' because it's combined with an Invernesian accent.

I meant Scottish English, by the way.

Is anyone else somewhat struggling to see exactly what he brings to the team?

He's out of position, I know, but he's a fairly tidy player who doesn't make much of an impact on games.

I see him as back up to Johansen which is weird because I was more excited about signing him than Mackay-Steven

He's a very good player being played out of position, but you can tell with some of his passing and movement that he's a very good player, will score too. He's unfortunaty competing with our POTY for his natural position. Still glad we have him and I think he'll be a big bonus in a few months, takes players time to find their place in the team aka Bitton
