I’d take Hatate over him, no contest. Who might have been the most project Asian signing we’ve done. A year before was playing Uni football, didn’t have a position nailed down, * thought maybe a LB because he was playing there a bit.

Now he’s had games that remind me of Lubo. If he was young and a runner. But not two footed as much. We all know what am meaning fs:56:

If a free I'd take him, but think he'll stay in England.

I don't like him at all, but his experience would benefit us, so i would also take him on a free.

Celtic are considering a move to re-sign Stuart Armstrong after his surprise release from Southampton at the end of the season.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Armstrong, 32, has emerged as an option for the Scottish title winners and is very much on their radar.

As a result, the club will initially look at alternatives to Armstrong, with younger players on their radar who can develop and grow their games at Parkhead.

Finance expert Kieran Maguire told Football Insider that Celtic’s budget will have been given “rocket boosters” by their Champions League qualification

Armstrong has become available on a free transfer after leaving Southampton, opening up the opportunity for a return to Celtic after six years away

The midfielder joined the English side for £7million in 2018, going on to make 214 appearances for the club in the Premier League and the Championship.

He made 45 appearances in the recently completed season, scoring six and assisting seven as he helped fire the Saints back into the Premier League.

Armstrong’s time at Parkhead saw him feature in both the Champions League and Europa League, while winning four SPFL titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups.

That winning experience, his European experience, and having previously established a strong rapport with the fans, have led to the possibility of a return this summer

I'd have him for sure, good squad option. What I wouldn't be happy with is if him and Bernardo are the only two CMs we sign (assuming O'Riley leaves).

As a squad option he'd be great.

Armstrong, Bernardo, CM, CDM - if MOR goes would be fine.

We badly need some different options in there. Too one paced.

I'd take him as an experienced option, as long as it's not a stupid wage, we don't actually have a lot of of good older players, and I think a lot of people (myself included) had dismissed Forrest as done but he contributed a good amount towards the end of the season.

Would take him back two year deal and the right wage.

Conflicted on this in the sense that we should cast the net a bit wider in our recruitment this summer, but he undeniably makes our midfield a lot stronger.

Given the impact an experienced pro like Mooy had on our midfield, I would probably take him tbh.

Absolutely not. We need an enforcer in the centre of midfield and Stuart Armstrong certainly isn’t that

Quite a few of the links have been ex player related and lazy..

I get he's decent, homegrown and experienced at a good level but we can absolutely do better than a 32 year old Stuart Armstrong....and so we should..

We need guys to come in and be better than anything we've got in their departments..

To be fair he's been pretty good for Southampton. He's matured and has looked a classy player for them at a higher level of competition than he faced in Scotland. I can't see consistency being a problem with him now. For free I would certainly take him, he knows the club and what it takes to play here, he's experienced, a good player and would be a useful squad member.
