Good player but he wanted away for a reason. He was out his depth in Europe and we have Christie who can do what he did for us in the league - and at least he plays for the shirt.

    Good option at RB.

Used to question his effort a lot in games. He’d float around far too often and not chase the ball. He won’t have worked on that in the Prem. I’d rather we looked elsewhere, McGregor is far better.

I would agree with that. Armstrong came and did a good job for us while he was here. But it was always clear he wanted to and would move on given the opportunity. He did we made a few million in profit so all good as far as I am concerned. Especially given we have Christie now as a direct replacement and whom I genuinely think will become a better player in time then Armstrong and likely to stay and play for us for longer maybe even long term.

Hard to see Armstrong ever playing for us again. Decent player but I don't see us paying the kind of money 7m or so that Southampton would want especially when we already have his replacement in Christie who IMHO will be a better player long term then Armstrong and is quite likely to want to stay and play for us certainly a lot longer then Armstrong did and maybe even stay long term a la Scott Brown or James Forrest.

    I'd take him back

I haven't forgiven him for that clearance against England at Hampden but he can make up for it if he found his form again

I'd actually take him back, let McGregor assume Browns role.

He's better at it than people give him credit for.

    Probably could.

Could work until Turnbull is ready.

Christie gives you everything Armstrong did but only technically better.
