His playing style reminds me of Gerrard when he first burst on to the scene . Will be interesting to see how he develops over the next few seasons .

He had a good game yesterday but he did go forward at times when he should have kept the shape. Hard to know where to play him. Id say he would be best in CAM but that aint happening and rightly so. I would go for other options on the left based on recent form. I dont think he will dislodge anyman from the bank of 2 either. He is a good player so it is hard to know but maybe he would be best used as a floating utility man in any of the 5 midfield positions and this is not a bad thing. I think our best midfield is:

    GMS Stefan Commons

    Bitton Brown

armstrong will take a little longer to settle, not quite at his same confidence he had at united, youll find that more intelligent players usually take longer to settle in

I think he has settled in just fine and will get plenty of time on the pitch in the future. I dont know if I would have him in my strongest 11 though.

Youre right but once hes more settled hes gonna be a cracking player for us,he will work well in this squad rotation system Ronny likes to use.

I'm lost for words at how bad he was today, literally * every single move, * touch, * passing..

Not the first time either, no way should he get in ahead of stokes next week..

His worst performance in the Hoops since arriving. Really poor today.

It was but to be fair it looked like nobody could control the ball on that pitch today.

Still not been fully convinced by him. I was expecting a bit more from him.

He plays some nice passes but doesn't seem to do much else. I know he's scored a couple of important goals but his shooting from the edge of the box has been terrible. Gets into good positions and usually puts it wide.

He has quality but im not sure he is suited to playing on the left, even though he has played well there before. He would be better in the hole or as part of the 2, he wont be playing there though

He was really poor against St Mirren away as well. I don't think he's that great wide left at all, not his position. He should either be played centrally or not played at all imo.

Definitely. Not one player on the park was able to bring the ball down and play. Even Bitton didn't look his usual composed self.

    Ugly game to watch today.

After the explosive start he had it was inevitable there would be a lull. Maybe lacking a bit of confidence at the moment, Im sure he'll get his form back soon.

    :97:

He strolled about the park doing the square root of * all, constantly hiding from the pass, ambling about out of position and done nothing with the ball when he actually had it.

Not for the first time he was completely anonymous.

Played well in Browns roll but if he plays on the left again im slashing Ronny's tyres. He's been doing my * in for weeks
