That quote was about Forrest. I remember seeing it at the time. The quote doesn't even make sense in relation to Armstrong he's been in the team from the time he signed.

He's a classy player isn't he? I'm very excited to see how he turns out. Got a lot to learn still but there is a lot of potential there.

Agreed, it's just a shame for him that Johansen is fantastic behind the striker.

Armstrong played well though last night, suits that position far more than Johansen. Went on a cracking run just outside their box last night in the first half, jinked in and out of 3 or 4 players.

He will eventually replace Brown I think, as captain and his position. Reminds me of Schweinsteiger, who used to play wide or attacking midfield when younger and scored a lot of goals and was a well rounded player then became a more deeper playing midfielder as he has all the tools, height, strength, work-rate, skill, technique, intelligence.

    Great signing.

We are not short of options in the middle, much better sitting in mid than Johansen though I think Johansen is in there for his distribution when Bitton is out. For next season we will have Brown, Bitton, Armstrong, Henderson, Johansen, Mulrgrew as options in sitting mid, great strength and depth when all are fit and not out on loan. Not forgetting Irvine who will be back but don't know if he's good enough.

For some reason I decided to watch him specifically for a minute last night and it ended up with him winning the penalty. The ground the guy covered after bursting forward from defence to win the penalty was incredible. His workrate is really impressive which should bode well.

This guy is the real deal. One specific moment I remember from last night was the long ball he played to GMS and GMS' beautiful touch to take the ball up the pitch. Great signings, both of them.

You look at Dundee United now without them and they look like relegation fodder if they lose Ciftci in the summer I think they'll struggle next season
