Doesn't come on and there's a possibility we start getting overrun in the midfield, IMO.

    Changed the game.

Was wondering why he was coming on! Clearly played great and we can now see the real Armstrong through the middle!

Aye, I was scratching my head a bit when Rogic came off.

I actually said to myself "I hope to * you know what you're doing here, Brendan!".

He * did, oh boy ohhh boy he * DID!

What an absolutely emphatic performance, and well done to Armstrong for topping it off.

    What a day!

Delighted for him to prove me wrong there. I thought he was looking crap at first.

like I said in general match chat Armstrong could be a real good squad player for us especially on occasions when Rogic is on international duty

Surprised at that. As soon as I seen their change I thought the change was needed. Didn't expect it to be Armstrong, though.

Could even see it a bit at the start of the half.

It was obvious that Brendan wished him to help our midfield, to get us more solid. And he finally played in his position. There's a player there, I'm sure about that, but I don't know how much game time he will get in his position.

Fair * to him he proved me wrong, thought Brendan was mad for bringing him on.:56:

I've always maintained that he can be a good player if he gets a chance in the right position though, well chuffed for him.:50:

I always remember him in that Inter game not long after he signed hopefully he can recapture that

Exact same for me, I'm very pleased for him as I thought he was a lost cause who just wasn't going to find his form for us. Turned out a great substitution, well played Brendan.

Hoping Brendan knows how to inspire that.

I think people have been overly harsh on Armstrong, he was admittedly * last season but he was played constantly out of position on the left in Ronny's system, but in the middle he has something to offer.

I'd play him ahead of McGregor or Henderson.

Me too, I've always thought that.

Rogic looked leggy for me, and it looked perfect for him coming on as they seemed to be slow all around and through the middle that boy must play.

Rogic for me has that place, but Armstrong can be used in that capacity too, I also think he could play instead of Bitton too, but he's far better up a little. Defo not a wide player, and thankfully Brendan mentioned something about that after the game.
