can't complain about his record. it was his attitude to the fans i didn't like. hopefully they'll appoint somone fast and give them a decent amount of cash to spend.

    hail, hail

YA DANCER!!!! I didn't think I'd be capable of cracking a smile today after yesterday but I am well chuffed. :icon_mrgreen: Best news I've heard in ages! I am so glad Strachan has gone, I couldn't have stomached another season of watching his dross brand of football. Looking forward with interest to see who we get in to replace him. Of the 4 early candidates McGhee, Coyle, Mowbray and Levein I would definitely choose Mogga.

    OH HAPPY HAPPY DAY!!! :icon_mrgreen:

As i have previously stated im not wanting to take what he was achieved away from him but i feel this can only be a good thing for us.

Am not the only one on this forum who doesnt like him - but that was absaloutley nothing to do with the point am about to make this is all factual.

For a long time now the standard of football we have being playing just isnt good enough, our style is perdictable and we dont seem to have the burning passion anymore like the good old days, was complacency because we have won the league the past three years ? I seriously hope not but at the end of the day our team was begining to get flat, no flair, players not up to scratch ect. The likes of JVOH who had a good start to his Celtic career dipping in form, aiden mcgeady who was dynamite last season being sub standard this year. Mcdonald this year aswell wasnt as good infront of goal, his overall game improved but he is still the best of a bad bunch which isnt good for Celtic to have. To me it all indicates we need to freshen the side up, both players and manager. Look what Guus Hiddink done with Chelsea. The changes to Celtic in the coming months WILL be for the good and i am excited about this.

Yesterday Celtic were absaloutley rotten, aye ok they made a few half decent chances but come on that was not Celtic class which was on that pitch.

Change for us will be good and we will win the league and reach the last 16, regardless of who is in charge.

    Good.

Thanks for the titles, but he was a manager who never knew how big a club Celtic are and how important the fans are!

He done us a good turn, bringing in some good players, and some not. You can't argue with getting to the last 16 twice and 3 in a row, even it if neither wasn't really on merit. I though he could have at least stayed for the Tommy Burns Trubute Match to manage the team, I think thats a bit disrespectful to Tommy.

Sad sad day when a football club has the success we have had in the last 4 years and yet half the the fans want the manager out the door because he is ginger or does not speak the way he should to the media, the same media those same fans call the media the hun and the daily hun.He didnt play for celtic and is not from ireland so is not celtic minded.
The most successful manager in 30 years, yes he could be annoying at times and yes the football was getting poor to watch but how much of the poor football was down to players not giving a *.
Not much point in replacing the manager if we spend * all during the summer and we play the same * players next year is there...?
Pro wgs or anti wgs we are celtic fans and imo we should have shown the guy a bit more support while he was here.
I just hope we dont go out and get some cheap * manager and live to regret the day wgs left.
Its going to be a intresting summer, should boost season ticket sales....

The next manager will doubtlesly be starved of funds & expected to perform miracles on a shoestring the same as Strachan was. The ambition of the PLC extends only as far as bank-ballances & to remain in their own extremely lucretive possitions.

I've been criticising him in the past few weeks (deservedly so I believe), but have backed him in the past and to be honest I will miss him, can't help but find him likeable despite some of the * he tells the press.

I wish him all the best wherever he goes

I also hope his replacement will have a similar run of success in his first three years at least.

:54:I'm gutted to see him leave on his own. He took the responsibility and resigned before they would sack him. Good memories with WGS will never be forgotten. Hope you do well somewhere else, wee lad.:50:
