I really can't see him leaving and don't want him too. But if we can't trust him in the big one I don't blame him if he goes.

Absolutely beggars belief that he didnt get on at some point.
I cant think of any club that is needing a goal and would keep their top scorer on the bench.
He has clearly upset Lennon, but that needs to be put aside for the good of the club, -

I really hope he doesnt go, but i can see his postion. Hes the top scorer and hes had a great start at the club but Samaras is getting games over him and not even doing anything. Get Stokes back in the first team and get Sammy on the bench, im sorry but one or two good games in a full season is no reason to earn a 3 year contract.

ANTHONY STOKES wants out of Celtic after his Co-op Cup Final snub.
The Irish striker was fuming after being left on the bench at Hampden with his side losing and desperate for a goal.
Now Stokes' dad John, who acts as his agent, has urged his son to slap in a transfer request today.
He said: "It is crazy Anthony didn't play when he is Celtic's top scorer. Neil Lennon needs to understand that.
"He isn't going to be at Celtic if he isn't going to play against Rangers or in the big games.
"My advice to him is to move from Celtic and put in an immediate transfer request.
"I think he will because he has told me he wants out.
"What is the point of being a Celtic player if you don't play in games like that?
"For whatever reason Lennon just doesn't fancy him. They obviously don't trust him to play against Rangers.
"He was absolutely furious on the bench. I know he is furious that Lennon doesn't have the confidence in him."
Stokes, signed from Hibs for £1.2million deal in August last year, has bagged 17 goals for Celtic this season.
And his raging dad added: "It is an absolute disgrace he didn't play against Rangers.
"He had a fantastic partnership with Gary Hooper but Lennon has decided just to break it up by putting Georgios Samaras in.
"The game was crying out for Anthony to come on when they were 2-1 down and looking for another goal.
"I have no doubt if he had played he would have won the game for Celtic.
"Anthony should go somewhere where they appreciate him."
His Dad is saying he should move to where he is appreciated ,dont know about that but i agree with his thoughts on the game and about Stokes playing ,,,Lennon needs to look at this situation carefully.

It does have direct quotes from his dad, who seems pretty upset.
It’s probably true. Even by the Scottish Hun’s standards, I’d be amazed if they would openly attribute such quotes to a person, if they were false.
I’ve never been his biggest fan. He’ll score goals in the SPL and he works much better with Hooper than Samantha does.
But, all in all, there is nothing much to his game. His juvenile attitude also seems to be problematic, which is why he never made it at Sunderland.
We need better players in the summer anyway. Murphy and Stokes should be first out the door; with someone in the Chris Sutton mould brought into partner Hooper.
Samaras can be used sparingly. -

its his da saying it. And Lenny has given him plenty of chances. His da needs to realsise a team is more then one player. But a da is a da. -
Agree with most post saying he should have been on the park at some point, but what would suggest he should change the partner of sami hooper taking the last 4 games weve played the huns. Also, not that it botherd me but i recall a terrible tackle he done on papac in the 1st minute of the 1st game with them, well worthy of a red card. This will probs get shot down but i heard he like a goos auld swally one to often and if lenny knows that then he wont reward him, and he is right. Im hurting as much as anyone but i think it feels worse becoz a forgot what it feels like to be beaten by they * witch says it all. Be positive back the team. Mon the hoops bring the tittle home and shut the bigoted morons across the road up!!!

We had an opportunity to offload a striker who has underperformed for 3 seasons for us, but decided to give him a 3 year contract.
We couldnt give Murphy away and no-one seems to want Rasmussen. I find it incredible that we are seriously thinking about getting rid of our top scorer.!! -

Lennon is the manager Lennon should pick a team based on the team to win the game in hand nothing else should come into this form etc does not matter.
All games v Rangers apart from today Lennon got it right if Stokes can not handle the fact the manager never picked him then he should * off It is a team game here no player is bigger than Celtic. -

I think Lennon should demand an apology or kick him out the door.You cannot have peoples relatives coming out with that kind of *...whether it is true or not.The manager has to live or die by his decisions and needs this crap like a hole in the head.Ok...he has scored a few goals...big deal.How many trophies has he won?It is completely unacceptable for his father to open his big mouth like that.If he wants to go to the Championship because he is in a huff...he can * off now.

Must be frustrating for him, he hasnt had much game time against our biggest rivals, with being our top scorer that would suggest that lennon doesnt trust him for the biggest games. Must be even more frustrating when he is watching our two strikers that are on not having the best of games then we go a goal down and he is snubbed for a midfielder.

I can't blame Stokesy for wanting away, so would I in his position. Our top goalscorer and he can't get in the team. I blame Lennon as he has his favourites, just like Strachan before him did too.
