    He played at cb for most of of the POTY season and his best I've seen him for Scotland is cm. Doesn't have the pace to play lb regularly but did a good job tonight. Id start him away in Europe but Izzy for every other game.

    Take away his goal and some of his passing, he was our best defender tonight i thought. He's not great at left back but right now, I'd have him there all day long, more reliable and offers some quality diagonal's and how many times have we seen him score peaches like that from left back?

    The rest of the defence was dodgy, particularly the right side with lustig and boyata..
