    Clearly, yes.

If Scepovic turns out to be class then we'll only have 1 good striker.

A club like Celtic should have at least 3.

Think the quality wingers might make a difference to the existing strikers ( except Amido )

Our problem is more quality, at the minute. We'll have to move some of our strikers on to feasibly bring in new guys, probably.

I think we need to get rid of strikers now. I'd look at keeping:

Griffiths: he's a goalscorer and will bang them in given the opportunity. He also has decent pace which our other current options don't really have.
Pukki or Stokes: Pukki was good pre-season and I happen to think he'll pick it up this year given the opportunity; Stokes has been a good signing albeit at times inconsistent and unconvincing (especially in Europe) for years and seems to get wrapped up in stuff off-the-field. I say keep one and sell one.
Fridjonsson: I like the look of him – tall, wiry but decent on the ball and could be an excellent option as a backup striker to give our main guys a rest and play off the bench with a few starts this season. From his clips he reminds me of Jelavic and we've not had an all-round striker for years.

I'd loan out Atajic and probably just sell Amido Balde as I don't think the coaches like the look of him despite his usefulness off-the-bench.

A big wage cut for him would be 200k a week, he was on over 300k a week in Russia. It's not even worth contemplating, we're not in that kind of company and never have been.

Eto'o is finished in my opinion.

Obviously wouldn't say no to having him on 20k a week mind:56:

    This.

Stokes will never cut it in Europe.

Griffiths is not doing it in his current position.

    Pukki needs punted.

No team in particular, I just watch the games. My sympathy or lack of it towards a team is based mostly on the style they present on the pitch, or fondness for particular player(s).

Living in Warsaw, but not really a big Legia supporter. Would like them to do well in EL/get to CL in future, always fun to watch some high level footie on the stadium.

Honestly though I think that I've been to more games of Juventus than Legia.

I hope we are genuinely going for him. I've liked the look of him for a while and have suggested him on here a good few times.

I can see us making another signing if we get through tomorrow. The club knows deep down that we aren't good enough to compete in Europe's elite competition with the squad we currently have. Two signings I believe could change us significantly. Striker is needed, for sure.

Interesting, only asking because if you were an avid supporter of one of Poznan's rivals you might have been undervaluing him somewhat:smiley-laughing002:

What is it you don't rate about him? His record is pretty good 38 goals, 20 assists in 90 Ekstraslaka (sp) games.
Ok, he might not be as good as Lewandowski but he still seems to have something about him.

Also, did you and others in Poland really, honestly think Lewandowski would reach the level he has? I can remember hype around him but never seen him progressing as far, and as fast as he has.

Actually I've cheered for Lech when they were doing well with Lewy in Europe, as well as Wisla (before, when they were beating Schalke, Parma and got eliminated in a close tie against Lazio) or Legia now.

Not a real supporter though, which has it perks. I'm free to laugh every time Legia/Lech/Wisla supporters start dreaming that they actually might become a quality European team :87:

It's not that I don't like Teodorczyk at all. He has some quality, but he really does have a problem with finishing. The bigger problem is his 'primadonna temper', but I guess that applies to many Polish 'talents'. Also, not really a technically gifted player, but it is easy to hide it in Poland, there are A LOT of * defenders out here.

Polish league in a nutshell, please watch this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYx1LT9wtX8

Impressive amount of ridiculous actions from ONE game.

btw. this guy also played for Lech Poznań, managed to score 11 goals :56:

    As for Lewandowski:

4 goals against Madrid and 1st choice Bayern Munich in their prime striker? No, did not expect that.

I was 100% sure that he will make it in 'Europe' in one of the high-class (not top level) teams, like Lazio/Everton/Borussia/Atletico (back then) etc.

Depends I really dont think we will ever play 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 under ronnie so no I don't because I think griffiths is adequate back up to play as the lone striker when we rest this guy. Scepovic ,griffiths and stokes will be enough for our 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 formation.
