deserves to be captain? YES I'm 100% behind McManus being captain, i can't honestly think of another deserving player to wear the armband. McManus gets my vote as he is Celtic through and through. Chuck Pressley on the scrap heap as he will only and ever be cover to 1st team centre backs. And as for O'dea well given his performances last season he will come good for the 'Tic & hopefully be a feature in the Celtic team in many seasons to come.

 

In other words it should be a cold day in * before Pressley wears the armband and captains the team.......

Theres more chance of Me being the new Celtic captain than Pressley . McManus should be captain its not even a decision to make its so obviouslt McManus

 

Am i the only one who does not want Steven Pressley near a Celtic jersey ? I think he is a liability and should be sold as qicly as possibly . We have McManus , Kennedy , Caldwell and O'Dea ( yes Balde too but hopefully he leaves too ) and i dont think we need "Elvis" .He is not up to Champions League standards and is frighteningly slow . If he is made captain it will be nothing short of a disgrace .

 

Naw you're no the only one. I don't and never have found him to be an asset to the team. Mcmanus, Kennedy and O'Dea are fine right now for our CBs. He should never become cpt, he might have experience but his play is pretty disgracefull sometimes.

I have never really rated him and never wanted him to sign . Hopefully he is sold but if im being honest i think Strachan will keep im which we all can see is a glaring mistake

 

I agree with Pressley being not upto Champions League standards, he hasnt got any pace at all but he has one thing that the younger bhoys havent and thats experience and i stick by players who have that, i think O'Dea though could handle our league fine but when it comes to the CL i dont think he could cope, but thats just my opinion though i think he would burn himself out, as for Caldwell i would like to see him go with Balde and for the bhoy Kennedy he was great before he got his leg injury havent seen him really play since the incident so cant comment on him, but will he be reliable or will he pick up injurys easy now thats the question, to be honest we need a new CB signing badly..

 

Pressley is truly a big fud . Hes in the door 2 minutes and is going on about how he could be captain . I wudnt let him captain the reserves

 

Unfortunatley Pressley will not be sold as Strachan is far too stubborn to admit that he signed a dud.I * forbid,but I fear he will be a starter next season.

yeah i agree. WGS has a real hard on for him and that other wee greasy *. i know its a horrible thing to say particuarly bout a celtic player but i hope pressley gets a really bad injury b4 the start of the season

I dont care what Pressley wants it's what GS wants . He should tell him hes not part of the plans
If he refuses to go then he can sit in the reserves because hes not good enough for the first team
