In reply to IrishHooper I have some sympathy with your point of view but while Celtic are waiting to give their response these clowns are running around shooting themselves in the foot.

McDonald is clearly not that bright, or he would just have said he asked the linesman because he wasn't 100% certain & then changed the decision. That has probably happened before & NL would have accepted it, end of story.

But he is now telling more lies, I have just read his explanation in the Record & it simply doesn't make sense. He is digging a deeper hole for himself & this could now get very interesting.

The unfortunate thing is they have obviously decided to attack Craven as much as possible. He is going to have to be strong, & who could blame him if he decided it just wasn't worth it & walked away.

Please mate will you give it a rest saying that. Celtic will not be in silence for long over this I assure you but I dont see why you are so desperate for us to come out and give an angry, all guns blazing statement against the SFA. Give it time :50:
Imo anyway, the papers are doing more harm than good to the SFA's cause by running their mouths off and trying to paint Craven as the bad guy. They may only be digging themselves a bigger hole this way so Celtic can let them dig.

I agree to an extent but feel there might need to be more than just Craven speak out for the story to get the correct outcome..
If there are retired officials out there (or guys still doing the job) who have a story to tell , then seeing a fellow official being hung out to dry , might just be the catalyst for them to speak out..

I hope this does open a can of worms, at that point, UEFA / FIFA will have to act, Scotland is not a third rate country new to football, Change is needed.

Dallas and McDonald are lying through their back teeth to save their sorry skins. We must take this to the FIFA and expose this, and go on the offensive the whole week, right up until the Celtic Fan's Protest outside Hampden Park on Saturday 12-1PM.

BBC Sport - Steven Craven initiated cover-up, says Dougie McDonald

video of the interview conducted with Dougie Dougie.

The headlies say Steven Craven initiated cover-up, says Dougie McDonald

3:06 I said just tell him you said Dougie Dougie........................<wbr>........

In what way has Craven initiated it?

Dallas has taken a back seat and thrown McDonald up in front of the cameras.
No denial from McDonald " Hugh is just testing you"

    One big question here.

If Dallas knew via text on the Sunday 8:52 and the truth would need to be told 9:22 and after a conversation with Craven Monday morning 9:48 why did he continue the lie to the media later on the Monday?

    It revolves around 3 men..

We know Craven told the truth because he was the one who blew the cover saying Mcdonald had lied to Lenny.
We know Mcdonald lied to our manager because he's since admitted to it..

We don't have proof if Dallas is lying or telling the truth , which asks the question do you side with the guy who was telling the truth or the guy who was telling the lies.. Dallas has sided with the guy telling the lies.. That doesn't look good for Dallas or Mcdonald whichever way it gets spun..

nothing will be done and nothing will change. the media will spin there own version of events which makes our support out to be paranoid and dallas as the referees messiah.

how dallas or mcdonald can keep their jobs in the face of these accusations is beyond me.

i cant believe that dougie mcdonald still has the sheer audacity to blame craven for starting the lying; he * exposed him and dallas no wonder they are starting a smear campaign; hear the other linesman that day has accused craven of "jumping for 20 pieces of silver"; do these * have no shame?

quite a turnaround, on the day i hated him as i thought he was the man responsible but with the new revelations, steven craven may well become the first of many whistleblowers (no pun intended!) from inside the SFA

Celtic cannot let this lie until both McDonald and Dallas are removed; sure the SFA will just replace them with other huns but we have to do something

Tells us all what actions or statement it is your are wanting from Celtic right now...
word for word will do.. :50:

You know when Lenny said he would comment on Tuesday , once he's been given all the facts , so the liar official then can't change the story once again , I think Lenny meant it.. i.e Tuesday , tomorrow not today..

Neil Lennon and the Celtic board should be given great credit for questioning these liars and cheats. I don't understand why some people are having a go at them for "sitting doing nothing".

Net closes on SFA cover-up participants

If, as appears likely, Hugh Dallas refutes Steven Craven’s version of the first conversation they had after the Dundee United-Celtic game, we can debate ad nauseam who we believe, the lawyers can bluster and charge for weeks, but the issue is destined to end in a cul-de-sac.
A private and unrecorded conversation between two people cannot lead to a case or action by either party. What Dallas said to Craven becomes irrelevant but the question remains, who was party to the cover-up?
In his BBC interview yesterday, Dougie McDonald confirmed that on the Sunday evening of the game Hugh Dallas was aware Neil Lennon and match observer Jim McBurney were lied to, however, despite this disclosure, McBurney remained unaware of the truth and submitted the report, revealed by Celtic Quick News, on the Tuesday.
Celtic had written to the SFA asking for an explanation of the penalty events, which the SFA responded to without admission of the lie told to Neil Lennon or subsequent cover-up.
At this point the matter was contained. Dallas spoke to Radio Clyde on Monday evening, explained that McDonald had erred and eventually corrected his decision, and the observer’s report was on file, complete with the undiscovered lie.
In speaking publicly on the issue Dallas should have either provided full disclosure or let it be known that an investigation into the post-match administration process was underway.
Despite failing to do this, if Dallas reported the lie to Regan and to McBurney on the Sunday or Monday morning he can claim to be innocent of any cover-up. Due process would then takes over, McBurney would record events in his report and Regan would initiate an investigation.
If Dallas failed to report the lie to Regan and McBurney by the Monday morning he is party to a cover-up. If no one escalated the issue until Steven Craven met Stewart Regan later in the week, the chief executive must ask why the two more senior officials, Dallas and McDonald, left him and the SFA exposed while they participated in a cover-up.

I don't know.. I haven't read it and am not concerned about it.. Im only interested in what his response will be with regards to Dallas and Mcdonald... Celtic might even say it's in the clubs interests to release a statement themselves rather than have Lenny get put into the firing line... It's early days and the lack of response doesn't bother me right now..
