That's * luck, reckon Rodgers would've started him on Sunday given how ell he done last week. Glad he's signed a new deal though. He'll comfortably get more opportunities than he did under Ange.

I'm honestly not sure about it all.

New contract does suggest he's gonna be the fourth choice then, which ends any further approaches for another defender.

I honestly think we needed another one before Starfelt left, Gustav replaces him, so for me we still need another one.

Realistically, we can't have four players at the level of nowrocki and CCV, that would just be insane for our level. The fourth has to be an up and coming, one for the future to develop, but also one we can rely on when needed.

I guess Welsh ticks all those boxes.

He desperately needs the game time though, too often he's been the steady guy early in the season and then dropped.

Sign a new CB Wednesday. New contract for Welsh on Thursday. Ends up on crutches by Friday ffs.

 

Nae luck at the moment with injuries. To be fair we had it pretty good last season apart from McGregor & CCV around the same time.

 

Taylor and Turnbull are association trained, but not club trained. We need eight association trained players where minimum four of them must be club trained. Forgot about Ralston though, who is closer than both Welsh and Forrest.

Club and association trained:

McGregor
Ralston
Welsh

I see. It gets far to confusing this *.

I mind in the early 90s in Europe you could only have 2 foreign players in your squad.

It changes all the time...hard to keep up with

I remember this theory doing the rounds a lot in Rodgers’ first spell as manager.

I ended up comparing our injury list to other clubs in other leagues, that play a similar amount of games. From what I saw it looked like we had an average number of injuries in comparison to other clubs in our situation.

 

That's not a * knock!

 

The injury record at Leicester was horrendous under him

 

Obviously we don’t know the full details yet.


But it will be interesting to hear what’s said from Brendan in the next week.
