I'd take him and it COULD be true, but it could be lazy journalism playing on Deila talking about a Rosenberg type Talisman. A player who wouldn't be playing at Malmo if it wasn't close to his heart. The same could be said about Steven Fletcher.

If all this happened, I'd be relatively happy with it (all things considered).
Getting rid of Scep, Derk and Stokes (although I personally think he still offers something, it's clear Deila doesn't think so) will free up wages and we might even recoup a couple of million in sales.

Was never gone on the idea of Fletcher, but a loan deal with Sunderland paying a % of his wages is a low risk venture that might just work out. Plus, I can't see us getting any other striker in at this stage.

Honestly haven't heard much of Simunovic or N'Sakala, so will take a leap of faith and trust Ronny on these ones.

The Chrisite deal is a funny one, we have about 6 players who can play in his position already, maybe a long term replacement for Commons and/or Johansen. Low risk though so won't lose too much sleep over it.

Would still love a natural winger too, though. McGeady will do fine. :icon_mrgreen:

 

In all honesty...I wouldn't be too disappointed with this. We could do much worse.

We finally buy a sort of "big name" player that people have been crying out for a good couple of years now, he scored goals for Wolves in the EPL and he also did it with Sunderland in his first season (11). Sure he's been poor the last couple of seasons but if we can get his confidence up and get him on a good run of form (which should be fairly easy to do playing him in the SPFL) then he could be a valuable asset in Europe.

That's IF this has any substance behind it and it's not just paper talk.

 

He's a big coo, but he's our big coo, well for a season anyway

He's out of contract next summer....

 

What would this mean for Ciftci?

 

He has good experiance at International and Premier League level, he would be a good asset to us, Deila has spoken about adding some older heads to help the younger players and give us more balance in the squad.

 

It means we will have 4 strikers with the option of playing 2 if we need to mix it up, I'd imagine one of Stokes or Scepovic will leave maybe both.

 

Aye he'll play great, score loads people will create songs for him and then he'll refuse to sign and go to some la liga team... John guidetti you broke my heart.
