There's absolutely no way the apologists can continue to defend this shambles if we don't sign anyone. There can be no excuses.

He can go * himself. Hope he * falls down a set of stairs on his way down to where he's taking the medical for Getafe and breaks both of his legs.

In my part time job over the summer, they'd show me how to make a load of drinks, and if I forget how to make some of them, I'd feel scundered at not being able to do things right. How the * are our board not totally humiliated with themselves? We basically sent our manager out to brag about the fact that players find our wage offers laughable, as if "it's all players fault these days, they all ask for too much". We're just abysmal at dealing with transfers. The board should feel very ashamed, but they just deflect blame and play the victim.

Do you really think he wouldn't have joined if we just bumped up the amount we were offering him? It's by his fault we put ourselves into the pathetic position of no Champions League football after being given a reprieve from our first crushing failure.

If we are not spending any money following seasons of record profits, what will it be like next year with no champions league money?

As a fan having witnessed the downsizing of the Celtic squad in recent years and this summer's transfer window fiasco when no money has been spent on the purchase of a player, I am far more sceptical about this media story. It is such a convenient story for the Celtic Board to blame the player pulling out of the deal. However I am sure that is not half of the story. I would not be surprised if Celtic's apparent new strategy to spend no money on players has taken priority yet again. Anyway judging by some recent disastrous purchases (eg. Juarez, Murphy and Bangura), perhaps it is the wiser option.

I expect the current squad to get nowhere in the Europa League and they may even struggle more than envisaged in Scotland this year as the weakened squad will encourage other teams (eg. at Celtic Park) to seek victory rather than play for a draw.

Of course I trust the Board and Shareholders will be delighted at all the bonuses and dividends available to them. Otherwise Celtic as a business will be really happy. However Celtic as a football club are going to suffer from this downsizing and fans may need to get used to many defeats this season (especially in Europe) as the club's apparent business strategy to spend no money on players to allegedly maximise Exec bonuses and shareholder dividends takes effect.

In this current no spend predicament I find myself craving the return of the biscuit tin, because at least that occasionally opened. Unlike what has been witnessed this year whereby all money seems to gets locked away for corporate benefit rather any football benefit. :38:

Just to remind people, the guy who's negotiating on Celtic's behalf, and who claims player's are wanting too much money, is on a basic salary of I think around £1 million a year... at a football club which has provided a product which has progressively got worse over the last number of years... and which struggles to compete with the likes of Shakhter Karagandy, Legia Warsaw and NK Maribor... at a club where customer's are steadily in decline... at club which has seen a reduction in salaries throughout the club from the playing staff to the management team (except of course the CEO's salary).

Put bids in for Cop, Kramaric, Soundani and Guidetti. I don't care if they all say no just make a * effort, or if they say yes pay them what they want.

If we have a solid, fan-encouraging back-up target in mind, then so be it.

But I doubt we do. A whole summer to find someone and a poor offer to Stefan Scepovic is the best they've came up with? Shameful.
