Wouldn't surprise me if it kinda suited him and our board for now but I agree you can never know the real truth .

I don't think Lawell has sabotage it because if he has the perfect chance now to sabotage it he would said Oh so you don't want to join Celtic now? we'll have to look elsewhere and to be honest if I was in Lawells position I'd stongly consider doing it but he hasn't as of yet.
The Player had agreed and all of a sudden he's decided to change his mind and Postpone to see what Offers come in Why not just be honest in say look lets wait and see what offers come in and I will decide which club to join come the deadline

After our exit from the CL Scepovic was unhappy with the proposed finances. As I posted then, when we started negotiations we were in the CL. We presented 2 contracts, one in CL and a lesser one for Europa. It seems he is not satisfied or someone isn't. Could be Scepovic, his Agents (he has 2) or (outside chance) Sporting Gijon.

Gijon want, no need, to sell him. There is a wage cap in La Secunda. They need to get the payroll down and they need to get back some of the money they have spent on him. Our offer was the best one on the table and as they need to sell Scepovic, they accepted. From the reports, initially they wanted around another £1m more than the final amount agreed, so it's in their interest that another Club comes in with a better offer. I have a feeling we even screwed them on the sell-on %. I mean 5% sell-on is paltry, but when you have to sell, you don't have much bargaining room.

Scepovic is goalscorer and will be a great Player IF he comes to us. However I don't believe he will be a long term Bhoy. He is young, talented and (it seems) wants to make the most of what he's got....just like any of us would....and if because of some last minute hitch, offer elsewhere, then he doesn't come, then life goes on, but from what I've read in the Gijon Press, we've done all we can and if we get him, we will be getting a real bargain.

The deal isn't off. I've posted on 'transfer rumours'. 3 Threads for a guy who hasn't arrived must be a record.

We have no idea what terms we are offering him, so calling him a greedy * etc, is jumping the gun in my opinion. I don't think it's a coincidence that this is happening so close to the end of the window, and the fact that this would be our only signing that has cost us a transfer fee. Maybe I'm being cynical, but I've become so disillusioned with the path that the board appear to be taking us, that I can't help but think like that. It's also going to be too late more than likely to get anyone else in. Not a surprise either in my opinion.

I've copied this from 'Transfer Rumours', which hopefully gives bit more info. Didn't realise this thread had opened.
