    Covered this earlier but worth going over again.

    When we started talking it was before the Maribor game so we presented a 'CL' offer and a ''Europa' offer. The CL offer was higher with the main difference being the bonus structure for European games. This info was in today's Spanish Paper La Nueva Espana, who have reported that the deal was €2.5m with 5% sell-on.

    To be fair these negotiations have taken 4 days so there has been haggling along the way. No medical or work permit so will wait till everything is signed, but cracking deal if/when it comes off. 2 years ago Gijon were relegated from La Liga and last year made a big push to get back. They finished 5th in La Secunda. Top 2 get automatic promotion and teams in positions 3-6 face play-offs for the last place. Gijon didn't make it and I think they are having to sell a player they really value, so good piece business Mr Lawwell. Credit to you.
