I feel totally depressed with celtic.... Its not about the result.. its about the way we are being led by the board. We were a stronger team 10 years ago, 10 * years now I for one always thought that your team was supposed to get bigger better stronger faster and well Evolve. But we seem to be doing to total opposite. We are going backwards and when we get knock backs from guys who are playing Spanish 2 div football. It's well.....embarrassing. This Board....Manager....players... well everyone in this club have to realise something and that is WE ARE GLASGOW CELTIC... We do NOT accept inferior players and we demand the best we can get. If the best we can get is this guy... then I truly despair about what our team will be like in the future. Rant over

 

Who will we get in now then? We still OBVIOUSLY need a striker

The answer is probably no one. We'll stick with Stokes, Griffiths and Pukki for the Europa League.

 

Celtic need to make a major signing or the fans will be calling for blood but this is our club and they really don't give a * about us..... All we are to them is a cash cow and I for one has had enough of being lied too by the board.

 

I've not had such a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach about Celtic for such a long time..

Im not too fussed about signing this player or not to be honest. Is a lad from the Spanish Second division going to lead us to a decent Europa league campaign and champions league football next year? maybe but I doubt it. Often think that when we dabble in this 2-3 million market we would be better of getting a Scottish player for a third the price.

 

Would have took a punt on stevie may not ideal for CL football but big and strong and thats what we lack upfront and transfer fee wouldnt have been much of a gamble.

 

Honestly I would just like to see a bit of ambition from the board ... I realise we're not gonna be getting any striker like Ibrahimovics or anything but someone to come in and actually IMPROVE the first team right off the bat is what we need. Stokes, Balde, Griffiths, and Pukki will never be able to cut it in Europe

 

Totally agree, would have been better than Pukki and Stokes. He scored something like 23 goals last season and this, for me at least, would have been perfect for us in the league and domestic cups. If he done it in europe as well then brucey bonus!

 

Yeah I agree, i wasn't overly fussy when I thought we would sign someone decent, but now I'd say we definitely should have went for him considering where we are.

 

I agree mate I said the same with Pukki last year with regards to Johnny Russel. Ill be honest I've never seen this lad play but for me second rate comes to mind. Would rather we saved our money on these types of signings and bring in real quality or Scottish talent.

 

It is most likely he will be away to PSV I'll be very surprised if we get him.

 

I don't know about anyone else but I'm * well depressed with Celtic at the moment actually that's a lie I have been for a while now and after last night * * I felt like jumping out my window after that result and the way we played. This signing should have been done and dusted before we played Maribor now it's looking very unlikely we are going to get Scepovic and I don't mean to be negative but I'm finding it quite hard to be positive with Celtic at the moment

This guy isn't coming now, no chance after last nights debacle. Do we ever need a goal scorer....this is * depressing.

 

Before a few hours ago i'd have taken him, but after reading some of his comments, * him.

I'd rather have someone who wants to wear a Celtic shirt, not some * just here for a pay check.
