No idea what this guy is all about....done very little so far to suggest he is anything worth pinning our hopes on

 

Yet got MOM last week playing for his country. Maybe that's where we need to be looking to see what the difference was.

 

Thing is from what I heard people that watched that match said he was giving the ball away all over the place as well...

 

Agree. He's a likable player. Has a good left foot and works hard but he is clearly a weak link in midfield atm. He seems too lightweight, which is not a huge problem, but he looks very shaky on the ball too, which is a big problem.

 

Kayal should be starting ahead of him at the moment. I don't think it's going to happen though.

 

He was ok to average last season. He's been utter * this season. Sell!

He can pick out a pass that's for sure, I almost feel like he's being wasted in a more defensive role with Brown or Bitton. I don't think he's strong enough or right for that position. But the little chip ball he did last night to put McGregor through was class and that's not the first time he's played a ball like that. Those kind of passes are exactly what we've been missing for a few years.

 

People are far too critical these days, he's a good player

 

For Norway he plays defensive midfield with 2 centre-mids infront of him and doesn't move around much. Compared to us where he plays as one of two centre-mids and runs about like a madman

 

He was a lot better than "average".

 

Headless chicken so far this season i'm afraid. Like I said month ago we need to decide if he's a defensive or an attacking midfielder, he can't be box to box because he's a) not a 25 year old Steven Gerrard and b) we normally have zero movement up front.

He's got great energy but it's frankly wasted most of the time.

 

Aye your right. He was good last season. But not great. A actually wouldn't sell him although he has been playing balls lately

 

Starting to worry that 'headless chicken' is his strong point. Obviously he's low on confidence but his quality on the ball has been very poor, often doing the basics very badly but again the same can be said of a few players. Agree that he needs a settled position within the midfield in order to be effective. I think he is an instinctive player, whether that be chasing lost causes or getting into the box or quick one, two's in advanced positions. All of these attributes are better suited to an attacking player and I find when he's asked to carry out defensive duties or to get his foot on the ball and dictate play from a deeper position he is found wanting. 'Converted Winger' keeps springing to mind.

 

Was that against the Italians when they were horsed and zaza had a field day and shoulda scored bundles..

I'll decide on Saturday afternoon whether to cut him slack..

He's got another day of constant slagging as far as I'm concerned, if he doesn't drastically improve against the high flying buddies then he's getting it tight..

 

Time for a seat son..

Slow, offers nothing going forward and slows all.our good play down when he's not being.intercepted or giving it away..

 

Sell in January. If anybody will buy him.

 

Hope he doesnt start thursday, I want Brown and Kayal.
