The only problem I have with that then is from Ronny. If his man is injured and WE have still been leaving him out and trying to manage it, then why the * is he traipsing all over Europe with Norway playing full game after full game?

It's either exaggerated or negligence from our side..

Player's want to play for there country but we pay his wages and if he's not 100% then he should be going nowhere. He's done anything but..

As I say, something is up..

Should have sold him in the summer. He's not got the commitment like he used to. Should punt him in January

Sitting deep in midfield, was picking the ball up from the centre-halfs and passing it on. Today he done nothing spectacular and done nothing to harm the team. Just done what he was asked.

Wow, incredible résumé! Everyone knows how strong Norwegian football is...

Either way it doesn't excuse him being consistently * this season.

Its getting a little tiresome ronny saying this player or that player is playing with a injury.

Use the * players you bought ronny....rotate the * team.

I can say that in all my time of supporting Celtic I have liked all the players even if they are a bad signing. I like them because they play for our club. Only once before has there been a player I didn't like and that was Eyal Berkovic. Great player. Just thought he was a wee *. I'm starting to feel like that towards Johannsen. Don't know what it is. Maybe it's his body language and that he looks like he'd rather be a million miles away. Big Rogic scored a few weeks back and Stefan to me looked as if he wasn't happy about it. I find him a bit big headed and petulant. But maybe I'm wrong. And just reading into things that is not there. I hope so!

Lacks the creativity to be our number 10 & not disciplined enough to be a holding midfield man.

Came on to a game last season after a slow start. It was his energy & desire that earned him his plaudits & overcame his shortcomings but this season that energy has not been there.

Not writing him off as I think he still has a part to play but needs to start showing the same desire as last season.

    I wasn't excusing anything. I was pointing out he isn't a 1 season wonder.

I think you're well wide of the mark mate.

There is no comparison to be made between Johansen and Berkovic, who held the fans in contempt and thought he was better than Celtic.

Johansen has done enough for us to be allowed the chance to play through * form. His back has been bothering him but he has never hid even when his passing has deserted him.

He was ok in his short time under Lenny , although plenty weren't convinced .
His worst form for us was in the early parts of last season , he was utterly abysmal in September/October and pretty bad through to January . He came on to a game big time between February and March ( the purple patch that put him in the frame for POTY ) , and then went utter mince again post split ( we all acknowledged the fact but blamed it on tiredness after the hard working season ). He has been poor more often than not in a Celtic shirt in the past two years.

Where do people pull comments like these from? not got the commitment? there's also bad form, possibly playing with an injury, plenty of other reasons but instead just come out and question his commitment?

Pretty bad through to January and only came on between February and January? He was brilliant from late October onwards...

No i said he was bad until January and came on to a game between February and March , how are you confused? And as for saying he was " brilliant " from October onwards - so you think he played well in the post split fixtures?

I think he's hid a lot this season tbh. He's one of the biggest offenders when it comes to the safe side or backpass.

Worst one for me was when he left a last minute freekick for Boyata to take and ran away when were losing. Think it was away to Molde.

I agree that something is not quite right mentally for him right now for whatever reason. Something behind the scenes. He's not looked happy for a while.

    I'm not picky.
For me it's because he's playing in a different position this year. Last year, I think he had a slow couple of months start but excelled when he played in a more attacking role just behind the striker. This year he's been playing deeper alongside Broony or Bitton, and I personally don't think he's at his best there.

I think he's had some sort of niggling injury as well. Early last month he said that he was struggling with a painful back injury which has hampered him.

As for Jo: a combination of being played out of position (we do have a lot of competition for that behind-the-striker slot) and an injury. Commons and Rogic, unfortunately (for him), happen to be better there just now.
