Yeah, I think this is a step to far for us. Seems rated at Liverpool and would be looking for some serious cash for this.

Looks great and would be ideal so therefore I expect we won't sign him

In theory a loan with option is good but it's Liverpool we are talking about. When was the last time they sold anyone from their academy for less than £15m?

A loan with a price we can't afford is just another loan

We could potentially get an option for £10m with a buy back clause of £20m or something like that. It would certainly be affordable for us but we all know Lawwell won't sanction anything over £5m as things are. He could blow the lights out in Scotland this season and Lawwell would be trying to renegotiate the deal down to £4-5m.

He's the most exciting link we've had this summer but I feel it's a 1/10 chance of us getting him permanently or on a loan with an option/obligation.

Any loan with an option or obligation would be a great deal.

Do you think we'd follow through with an option though? I'd worry about that. Bajcetic could come in, be the best player in Scotland and Lawwell would still try and renegotiate the option. There's also the fact that if he's very good other clubs may then see how he's done and have a word with his agent and ask him to reject Celtic, promise him a mega deal, promise Liverpool a bigger fee and then we're in bother. Something similar seemed to happen with the Turkish lad we were linked with this season, Rio Ave had the option and knew they could make a profit on him but couldn't get the deal over the line.

I think a talent like this who is available and interested is one we should roll the dice on. If we can get a deal done for around 10m we should push the boat out IMO.

Why did his loan to Salzburg finish early was it injury or wasn’t getting game time as his stats suggest he was very effective as a defensive midfielder that could carry the ball forward but it is from very limited minutes.

He does look a talented player but it’s hard to tell how he fits in as both teams he was on loan last year didn’t have good years by their standards.

    Definitely take.

Loan with an option would be a great deal.

A decent rumour about a DM, it's hard to believe :giggle1:. He does look a very good player, strong tackler, very pacy at getting around the pitch, high stats of interceptions and very good positioning. Your suggestion of an option for £10m with a buy back clause of £20m or something, could be the way to go, if we are really interested. One cautionary word, he has had a string of bad injuries, including abductor and a hamstring operation, that could be down to his style of play, movement, over training stress and the fact his body had still not fully developed yet.

He's also taken it from a Liverpool fan site with under 3k followers so will wait and see.
