If it can be done with no compromise on the safety then I'm for it as would most other people i'd assume.

It keeps the rowdy element in one section not annoying everyone else and it creates atmosphere which is lacking during SPL games.

Wrong........if you pay celtic for something and celtic use that money then you have supported them.
Just because some of the fans dont jump around and scream it dont make them any less of a fan than us that do.They maybe dont feel comfortable doing it, but should we really condem them for being different.
After all we are meant to be THE CELTIC FAMILY.

By this spurious logic people who buy shares solely to make a profit are the biggest supporters of all. :97:

Bottom line for me - if you don't actively play a part towards the overall event of the match, whether by encouraging the team or contributing to the atmosphere then you aren't a supporter (active), you're a consumer/spectator (passive).

exactly hut hut mate :50: those who cant be arsed supporting the team the way it matters have no place in my paradise. you just buying a ticket and turning up for the sake of saying " oh im a celtic man were the best fans in the world " is not on it aint doing the players any good atoll its embarasing to think people still think we have the best atmosphere in the world when you take a look at the likes of shalke and brussia dortmund. as i said before the new breed of fan is nothing more than a cancer spreading throughout football and untill the people at the top tackle it , it will grow and get worse.

When I go to a match that is exactly what I set out to do. There'll be times during matches where the team NEEDS to hear the fans behind them in order to succeed. If everyone just sat and waited for the goals to fly in we'd lose more games than we do. I wish more people would stir themselves to join in the singing and make the atmosphere as hostile and intimidating as possible for the opposition. :54: HAIL HAIL

I think the best move towards some seating at cp would be to make the jungle what it used to be like ,well taking away seating in the jungle would have cp going mad every home game.
The jungle was famous for it,s singing and hence it carry,s round the stadium and even if cp is not totally full i bet you would still get the atmosphere with the jungle bhoy,s singing for the full time they get in the stadium to the min they leave, ive sat in the main stand a few times and thought this, especially at games with smaller clubs.:bbpd:

I think the best thing would be making the lower tier of one of the stands behind the goal (preferably east beside the away fans) - or even half of one to begin with - terracing. See if people take to it, see if it helps.:50:

Maybe it's just the way I was brought up but I actually DON'T UNDERSTAND people who go to the football and are quite happy to just sit there for the 90mins. For me the whole point of the thing is being in the crowd, being part of it, us against them, your team against the other fans team, outsinging the other fans and generally having a good time. It's an amazing buzz and it's great to think your singing is helping the players to win the game. HAIL HAIL

two words - 'new agers'. :31:

I'm with you - the atmosphere, the singing, the craic, even the smell of booze & the excitement of that - THOSE were the things that made you fall in love with it all, at least for me and Im sure Im not alone. When I was a wean I used to draw Celtic players all the time with felt pens - but I'd always draw the crowd in as well with the flags and scarfs, cause for me that was just as much part of it all. I wonder if 7 year olds are doing that now? Or if they're even asking their dads to take them back after sitting through the stale drudgery of a CP visit these days. As big Jock said, football without fans is NOTHING. You're as well watching the * rugby.

Lads i took an american burd to cp for the first time and built it up as an amazin experience. It was against Hamilton but * me I was embarrassed! She just didnt understand what all the fuss was about. Something desperatley needs done to get the atmosphere back at the ordinary games, good shout for the terracing!
