a good player who betrayed us and littled our league and our team.

and on a side note everytime I see this thread on the forum the title makes me think of a star wars movie. Strange, yes.

Petrov was the most overated player ever to wear a Celtic jersey IMO

We got the money because Stan was good enough to sign a contract so that MON (who is also helping us out with someone else's money) would have to pay a high price. It was good business all round. Maybe the change of agent thing was because MON wouldn't deal with the old agent and Celtic were happy with the new agent and the deal he helped bring to Celtic. Celtic were happy to take that money.

To dismiss Petrov's contribution to Celtic as you have above is a poor show mate. Short memory.

After Henrik left I thought Stan was our best player, sad to see him go, but at least we got a well good price for him. Didn't help me though, I was stuck with Petrov 19 on ma hoops! ;-)

Its not going to go down too well with the Villa faithful if all this talk of him wanting to come back to Celtic Park is true.

Ive said before that I'd be gobsmacked if he returned..... But the weird thing is ......... I've never seen any denial that there is any truth in this... I've seen him quote that he wont return to the national team, thats all... mm , unless im mistaken...

Spot on assessment. That bit of buisiness would have been perfect but two of the guys we paid for/ are paying the wages of with the Petrov money-JJ and Grav-have so far been no replacement despite their hype. That has meant we are considerably weaker in the centre than we were last year. Top priority area for signings IMO.

Knowing what I saw in Petrov over the seasons he played, and granted he was a good player most games not all, I will say I hope to * he doesnt come back, for in my present opinion he is NOT good enough for Celtic. :38:
Yes I would like to add Petrov WAS overated by a lot of Tic fans!

Completely unfair i think.Gravesen & JJ have been here less than 6 mths. And Petrov lest we forget was terrible in his first year. They are 2 proven internationalists unlike Crockett & Tubbs at Hibs who have achieved nothing yet and were bossed of the pitch at an U21 match by Clement. They both have contributed to the team this year mebbe not as much as hoped for but it's not an easy adjustment coming from La Liga to here or indeed anywhere on the continent.
Pinning all hope on the Hibs pair is short term thinking imo especially at an inflated price tag which is currently doing the rounds.
The top priority area for me is the need for a strike partner for Jehovah
interesting Keltoi you call for Miller to be given more time but consistently snipe at Jarosik and TG,not a dig it's just inconsistent to me.JJ has scored more than Miller despite being played out of his preffered position more oten than not. Michael Essien was pants last year for Chelski but is probably up there for their POTY this season
