    That's true as far as it goes, but the stadium makes a difference. Just ask fans of Arsenal, Man City and West Ham about atmosphere in their new stadiums, mate.

    These things take ages. I hope were at least investigating the possibility. Be nice to see the ground complete in the next ten/fifteen years. If not at least make the corners two tiered. Hope they can keep the old front though.

    That could be our own "yellow wall" like Dortmund's stadium.

    Don't think we could do that as it's the main stand.Would be immense though if you could do it all safe standing.

    It happened the last time in the 90s. If marketed right again and with a big name signing or 2, we could sell out the full allocation again.

    Absolutely, I think we would at least sell more books in the good years. Celtic supports always seem to forget that even if the stadium looks a bit empty, we've still sold the majority of the seats. I always say to people that one of the great things about the Celtic support is even if they aren't motivated to attend due to the opposition or are otherwise occupied, they still make sure their hard earned cash is put in.

    Another thing: even if the stadium is only full for Champions League games and games against the better teams in Scotland .. so what ? It's still increased revenue and its another step ahead of our rivals we can count on every year, unlike a player who will eventually leave.

    A final point is it would put us in a great position if we're ever invited into a European league. :50:

    I'm sure Lawwell and co will have it tallied up, even if it is just selling out completely in europe, and then sevco games, maybe aberdeen or hearts too and not the rest of the season, if that extra ticket money long term is worth the initial investment we'll do it eventually.

    Probably some * accountant on here has a rough estimate on ticket revenue if we did have those extra seats from building the main stand to the same level as the rest?

    I'd imagine though any redevelopment would put the priority on things like sorting out restricted view seats, expanding dressing rooms and facilities so we meet criteria for hosting other games/events, how great would it be to see a europa or CL final in our stadium in the near future.

    Also with Hampden being such a dump and talk of using other stadiums for international games and finals the obvious venue would be a revamped/bigger capacity Paradise.

    At current rate money keeps rolling into celtic with champions league, vvd, Dembele 30-40m were going to have alot of spare cash. Can't see us smashing 10m+ on players due to wages so it's a sensible approach if it doesn't effect on field spending.

    I'd rather spend the money on improving what we have. The club did a decent job with the "Paradise" stuff around the stadium and the Celtic Way. Use the money on improving the concourses etc. Half the toilet cubicles don't even have doors :56: The stadium is the right size at present so I don't see the need for expansion.

    Was doing the rounds on here a few years ago. IIRC I thought it looked beautiful then, now it merely looks to me like Celtic Park and Old Trafford* just had a pig ugly love child. :99:

    60k isn't big enough for some games and too big for others, but it is a good compromise size.

    I'd love to see the standing area increased a little each year until it reaches whatever size is optimal.

    * both extremely beautiful stadiums
