Think the games were mentioned earlier in the thread, talked they would provide the upgrades to transport links to the stadium and press facilities but not upgrading the stadium

think it looks good, obviously the flags and all the coloured bits would just be temporary for the length of the games

Is that from a good source or just a fan photoshop? I thought they'd knock the whole front & start again or at least the two corners either side of the south stand & blend them in to the existing corners of the Jock Stein/Lisbon lions. That Pic looks like they just built straight up on the existing walls. Bit disapointed, thought it could look unbelivable with very little efort as the the rest of the stadium is spot on in my opinion

Is that just the red brick area? I just think they should wide'n the south stand at least. the bit either side of the main red brick area, surely thats not the listed part as its mainly metal?

seamingly it is i can remember a few years ago the board were granted planning permission to build on the main stand. The bits on either side of it aren't listed just the red bricks

Strange, dosent look like the type of building that would be listed, but im sure your right as I've heard something like that before. But I think they could do a fine job by knocking both sides next to the red brick & the insides of the south stand.

am i wrong ,the main stand as it is today was it rebuilt in 1971 ,i think im right ,but also it got done up inside and the seating aswell ,but the building im sure was 1971 ,and that would back up the theory that quigley said about the 50 years old to be listed ,:50:

the brand new st aloysius college building is listed. so it cannot matter the age of the building, "A listed building in the UK is a building or other structure officially designated as being of special architectural, historical or cultural significance" so the fact the main stand was rebuilt in 1971 doesnt disqualify it from being listed
