I agree these are the type of games you would have hoped that Giakoumakis would have been able to make difference. I believe that Ange was hoping that he would be the type of forward he could use against teams who sit back but we just haven't been able to get him fit so far this season.

Kyogo would have created the room by intelligent movement and scoring.

Therefore pushing St Mirren out. And opening gaps later in the game

Pathetic performance and yet more evidence that we lack the right mentality to win a league. That should have been a comfortable win but no we struggle every time a team camps in against us.

Badly need reinforcements the squad is so threadbare and lacking in quality, particularly in attack.

I'm not one to throw in the towel 6 points behind in December. We've almost got through an absolute forest of fixtures this December with a trophy and only 3 points dropped in the league, and that's with a squad decimated by injury that lacked depth in the first place. Meanwhile across the city they have been scraping by also, their 'new manager bounce' fizzled out. Huge transfer window. For perspective - we win against Sevco on February 2 and not drop any points beforehand, then we're 3 points behind max. Potentially 3 points behind if we win our next 4 games with circumstances surrounding the winter break on our side, and some of you are ready to throw in the towel?

Watched the game at home tonight but the atmosphere seemed very flat from the off. Usually we are in fine voice especially away from home. Maybe it was just the audio and someone who was there would say otherwise so could be wrong.

No he wouldn't...they had 10 men lined up on the 18 yard box...he would have made runs but the likelihood of actually getting the ball to him is very slim.
    More chance winning the lottery.

A shambolic performance. I hate to say it but 6 points is a big gap in Scotland

It just seems like every time we have a chance to gain some ground…. the opportunity is just treated with total lack of commitment.

    So frustrating.

If I was the other way around we'd be hopping tonight as it would be a massive swing considering covid, injuries etc. We completely * it and we are gonna * it again because it was the exact same issues v Dundee utd , Livingston X2, Ross county.

Noticed it as well but unsurprising given the new restrictions. Most folk I know are feeling pretty flat.

Canny believe people watched the end of that game and think the answer is just a big physical striker and launch balls to him.

Would have liked Welsh or Scales to have gambled a bit and made runs into the box to at least have some hope of a bit of height in the box.

Not a chance! We've pulled it back so many times before with more points. 6 points is nothing. That can swing in no time. Especially towards the end of the season. We even still have to play the Huns 3 times.

Very frustrating performance here and some Celtic players need to be asking themselves questions. They are not playing for any run of the mill club. A sense of responsibility is needed to get a win in a game like this and being smart as well.

We have just dropped another 2 points due to bad decision making on the field. Still too much euphoria in the team after the Cup win. Each game for Celtic in the SPL is a real challenge and needs to be clinically dealt with and won.

What stood out for me is an attitude creeping in that we will eventually win in the last ten minutes so we do not have to worry that we keep making glaring misses in front of goal. That is not a professional mindset and brings about complacency. Players are not peppering the goal with shots. Livi at home and now this game sticks in my throat - games we should have won.

Basic rules are not being followed. I have issues with forward players not getting into the correct position to receive a cross, low or otherwise.
Ralston crosses from the right, Abada in the middle just misses getting to the ball, the ball runs on but where is the second player in line with the ball ready to put it in the net ? Where was Johnson ?

Calmac has a fantastic left foot and will get himself in to a position to shoot for goal when not playing DMF, within the 18yrd box to the left, at least 3 times in a game, but does not shoot hard to score and will choose to cross instead. Even if the shot is blocked it will run free to another incoming player. Turnbull is not the only player with a licence to shoot in this team.

Our ratio of shots/goals is poor. We can not keep dropping points to defensive teams. When the real chances to score are there, they need to be taken . You may not get that chance again in such games.

Yeah that’s what I put it down to. The realisation that this is the last match we will be attending for weeks/months.
