    Hart

    Ralston Nawrocki Scales Bernabei

    McGregor O’Riley

    Yang Kyogo Maeda

    Idah

Would throw Yang in here, he is our only winger who wants to take men on and apparently he made a good impression when he got mins on International duty. Or give Kuhn more minutes and let him get up to speed.

Struggling to get up for this one to be honest.

At the risk of sounding entitled, another Scottish Cup would be nice, but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t win it.

If we win the league and no cups it’s an acceptable season.

If we win the Scottish Cup and not the league, it’s an unmitigated disaster.

Just want to see some decent combination football and chance creation.

Need to win this or its a clear run for the huns. I want there lying pish sign removed from that stinking hole and that requires us to win more trophies than then each year.

This will be tough as St Mirren will be right up for it and know that we are not playing well at the moment. Once again, I will take any type of win but it seems I've been saying that practically every game we play now

I’m hoping that late winner at Easter Road inspires us but, the goal was from a penalty and not fashioned from good play. Doubt BR will change the formation so until Iwata is back we are stuck with the same pish. Clearly my hope is he returns and McGregor moves up one but BR will take about 4 games to give Iwata a start.

I understand that perfectly well. Stainseyboy made no mention of 'changed formations and tactics' - you did. Stainseyboy is saying field a weaker team at a venue we have struggled at repeatedly in recent seasons, in other words, sacrifice the Cup to concentrate on the league - thats the point I'm addressing i.e. if Celtic do what Stainseyboy suggests we hand them 2 legs of a treble with them being favourites to land the 3rd leg as well...

I'll be interested in seeing how hibs do today. Will they be up for it in the same way they were against us and will they be challenging as robustly as they did as well.

Good result in the cup and a break from the pressure of the league could help us big time.

I want to win everything we enter obviously but it really is imperative we see the title out more so.

Got to change the system starting from tomorrow as we will stumble in a future game playing this turgid football .

Is Welsh available? Not heard anything since he went off midweek.

p.s. think you might want to make that lineup a bit more attacking

I don’t know why we wouldn’t try something that get as many forwards on the park as we can, Man City playing the 3-2-4-1 today basically have 5 either attacking midfielders/wingers on the park with 4 centre backs and a holding midfielder.

Obviously they have better players but I think something like that utilising Iwata as a 6 capable of dropping back in could work for us.

Then let McGregor, O’Riley, Kyogo, Idah and two of Palma, Kuhn, Oh or Maeda on the park. It means we don’t need conventional full backs given we only have Bernabei and Ralston. You could even play Ralston as the right centre back in a three Scales left and Nawrocki either central. Lagerbielke would be an option too until CCV is back.

Both Nawrocki and Scales have experience in a back 3.

Same true for Johnston, although obviously not available at the moment.

I think we've got to play 2 upfront and play the ball into them early then get the midfielders supporting them. Whether it's 442 or 352.

I'd even got as far as 3-1-4-2. The way we play just now we're almost playing 2-1-4-3 but with too many players wide and not enough in the box.

It’s definitely time to change up the formation, go 352 and use Maeda & Abada as wing backs. 433 is slow & stale.
