After any defeat the site should just close down. The sudden host of Shamans who can so accurately predict the future makes following Celtic futile.

I mind we lost 6-2 against Sv Greuter Fürth last year in a pre-season friendly.

Strangely enough he's the only Finnish international on our books ergo it made sense

You're quite an angry wee man, take a chill pill.

I thought the site already did that after defeats with the so called "accidental" database errors. :icon_mrgreen::50:

do we really do well at developing them ??? really ??? not if other teams are playing theirs in their SPL 1st team and then selling them on a season later for millions of pounds

again there's no real proof of that unless you think we have multi millionaire youths playing in our youth squads
I take your point however if we arent prepared to play them in a league where the gap between us and the rest is massive, then they will never reach their potential at celtic so should move on for the betterment of their career

however maybe thats about to change under ronnie if he can hang onto his job if we get booted out of europe

We lost to Ajax pretty badly too a couple of years ago with a much stronger side out than today. Legia is the main focus now.

They do that out of necessity. Their young players only get a chance because there's no competition from established international footballers.

WGS team lost 4-1 to Young Boys Berne
Martin O'Neills team lost 5-1 against Liverpool

Considering Ronny didn't travel to try and prepare the first team for midweek shows where his priorities are and rightly so. I don't see how anyone could blame him for this result.

On your first point I have said we do up to a point. It is in terms of them breaking into the first team that we struggle with. So I guess the later but critical stages of their development as first team players.

Don't really understand the multi-millionaire jibe but yeah I'd rather see us bring through one or two youth players while there is little pressure than continue signing players that are always going to be a risk at best. Obviously not just for the sake of promoting youth but where we have obvious young talent in certain positions then give them a shot there instead of signing someone. After all there is no financial risk there, only potential reward. Plus it would mean our transfer budget could perhaps be better utilised in positions in which we are short, rather than maintaining a bloated squad.

What a total waste of * time. If we're going to arrange friendlies against teams of the calibre of Tottenham to raise money or raise our profile then we should at least put out our first team so we can give them a decent game. If we're not willing to play our first teamers because we're in the middle of Champions League qualifiers then just forget about organising matches like this.

Putting our youngsters out against the likes of Tottenham serves no purpose whatsoever. Our youngsters just end up getting a tanking and it certainly does nothing to improve the club's image or profile. If we're going to arrange friendlies for our youngsters to get some action then at least put them up against a team they have half a chance of doing something against. They might actually learn something that way. There is as much point in our youngsters playing Tottenham's first team players as there is in me taking on Ronnie O'Sullivan at a frame of snooker. 'Aye but you learned something by playing against Ronnie' - naw I didnae, I just sat there and watched him pot baws.

Total riddy. Just like Wednesday night was.

This. Like I said in a few posts above...I was expecting to see Celtic for the first time in 12/13 years. Was very dissapointed when they came on for the warm up that it was a youth team. The match wasn't promoted as such though.
