    At last the team i wanted us to get. won't be an easy game by any measure but i think we may have just enough to overpower them over the two legs!.

    They must be a good side to have finished second in the Portugese league, considering it's the CL I won't underestimate them but it's certainly the best draw we could have hoped for.

    The main objective is getting result away. We have no problems at home.

    similarly to lennon, fernando couto is an inexperienced manager who has just taken over. hopefully this inexperience can work to our benefit. personally, im not underestimating them but it could have been a * of alot worse. lets just hope we get the tactics correct and shun the attacking philosophy away from home and adopt a more mature counter attacking system with a packed midfield.

    They are a good team and they shouldn't be underestimated. There goalkeeper is very experienced and good. i mind him being in goals when we played Benfica. A former defender as a manager so you would think his priority would be to be organised at the back but saying that Mowbray was a defender and we know his team couldnt defend. I dont think they have any stand out players who makes me scared unlike the other teams we could have got.

    Will be a very difficult game, no doubt about that.

    I think it'll come down to the game at Parkhead. Can't afford to waste chance after chance like we did in the Moscow game because the away game will be a lot tougher this time.

    delighted, Braga will be tough but certainly not the toughest draw we could have got; obviously need a good result at home knowing our away jinx! i'm looking forward to it none the less

    Hi. I'm a portuguese who went to Celtic Park in December, 2009. I support Vitória de Guimarães, their main local rivals (the video you posted is of a game against us). Two seasons go we finished 3rd and got our first game in CL qualification stage and now it's their turn. I'm no hypocrite and I hope you win the tie in the same way you would like to see Rangers go down.

    In any case, you should not take this tie for granted. I still rate you with more than 50% chance (given that the 2nd leg is at Parkhead) but it will not be easy. You squad is a little bit more fragile than in "old times" (will at least McGeady stay?) and you should be confident but at the still time respect the opponent and not be overoptimistic.

    Some remarks:

    - Their coach is not new. In Portugal, the manager has only "administrative tasks". The real coach, in the pitch, is Domingos, former Porto player, which was already their coach last year;

    - Their biggest player losses are in the defence. They lost their goalkeeper (Eduardo, which player all Portugal games in South Africa), their right and left back (João Pereira and Evaldo) and one of their central defenders (Rodriguez) which means that 4 out of 5 starters are out. Since the defence was their biggest asset (they really excelled in keeping their net safe), this is probably what they worry most. Their main replacement for goalkeeper, Quim (ex-Benfica) also had a big injury and will be out for several months.

    - Their midfield also got some big losses in the offensive and organizational aspect (Luis Aguiar and Hugo Viana) but their attack seems to have an in-form striker, Lima, a brazilian, who scored some goals in the friendly games (they won every friendly, but almost always against very minor teams).

    If you want to see their up to date squad check:
    Sporting Clube de Braga :: zerozerofootball.com

    It's probably the main portuguese football database (it is available in english) and you can for example click a player and see in which clubs he has played for.

    I sincerely hope you go trough, but your team could use someone better than the rather "clumsy", if I can say so, Samaras.

    I'll be glad to try to answer any questions you have.

    Cheers!
