underestimate this team at your peril, they are a very dangerous team, hope lenny uses the game vs sporting lisbon to try things out for braga, if we get through this i want sampdoria or auxerre

:97: I take it you're just judging that on the fact Braga aren't a big name? I watched them several times last season and they're a quality side with a solid defence. If we got Lisbon or Porto we'd be worried - so why do you think we'll comfortably beat a side who finished above both those teams last season? and almost won the league?

dont know if this has been posted yet but this is the last lines of their wiki page

'SC Braga were drawn with Scotland’s biggest club (second only to Man Utd in the UK), Glasgow Celtic in the UEFFA Champions League Third Round Qualifying Draw. It is unlikely SC Braga will progress however as Glasgow Celtic are one of Europes finest teams despite being cheated by referees and finishing 2nd in last seasons tainted Scottish Premier League. Glasgow Rangers/The Athletic Wing of the BNP(Celtic's poorer neighbours) will more than likely exit at the first round as their ‘luck’ traditionally doesn't carry on into European competitions.'

My * mate, you are confident we will beat them a few goals over the 2 legs?

You base your belief on money spent by both clubs

Maloney Brown etc.... maloney hasnt kicked a ball since he come back to Celtic and Brown has underperformed massivly last season.

Whos to say any of the 2 boys we have signed from the world cup will have settled in time, or even ledley at that.

your belief in our new manager, who has infact never managed before.

Mate, CALM DOWN, you are either trying to sund like the biggest Celtic fan in the world or being a tad dellusional or unrealistic man, this will be one tough tough game, against a team 2nd in Portugal, who will be very technically good and pacey throughout the team.

I persoanlly think every team we could have got would have been difficult, and we would have been underdogs.

1 game at a time, really looking forward to the game.

Sorry you misunderstand my post - a previous poster was slagging off Porto and Sporting Lisbon (teams that finished below Braga) for being beaten by (us and) Rangers in the past.

However I'm arguing that Sporting are a good team - beating Everton 3-0 and Braga finished above them!!

Because out of all those teams they are probably the easiest we could have got, especially with the second leg at home for us. I am not underestimating them, but neither am I am over estimating them. You only create fear and panic by overestimating the extent of the challenge in front of you. They have 14 Brazillians in their side. If we play power games against them, I reckon we can unsettle and unnerve them. They won't like facing a baying 60.000 Celtic fans at Parkhead in a typical Glasgow Fair downpour.

Truth is we are going into competitive action much sooner than we would like and we are drawn against a good side although the draw could have been worse lets not fight amongst ourselves about how good THEY are we are a good side and we will get better as the season goes on BUT this is a very early game so we have to hope for a bit of luck and that the tm can hit the ground running

Will be a tough match as all european ties are --- Aalborg anyone :( but if celtic do play to their strengths hopefully a bit stronger by the time we face them then we should scrape through this tie and if we do then it will at least mean we will have two more games in CL and then EL group stage.
