I will be very intrigued to see the annual report when it comes out in September to see where we were at in April this year and how Lawwell can justify the penny pinching.

Going by last years Annual Report by April 2013 we made £10 million profit, had a decent amount of cash reserves and access to a significant debt facility from the co-op.

Also interesting to note that Lawwell gets paid literally just under £1 million which is incredible as his job, in purely business terms, is a joke. Celtic plc had a turnover of £75 million, a stable income base (us, guaranteed league win pretty much every season now oldco are dead, TV money, etc.) and the only real challenge is to make it into the champions league. What does he do to deserve this money? The average pay for a CEO of a comapny with less than £250 million turnover is just over £150k... Even when you look down south with the funny money being thrown about, particularly in terms of wages, Arsenal had a turnover of almost £300 million and are paying one player almost as much as we pay our entire first 11 a week (Ozil £140k a week), but paid their CEO just over £2million. Lawwell is taking us for a ride if you ask me, he has no spending plan.

Exactly what I said earlier in another thread his basic of £507,000 is made up of £250k wages and rest is financial performance bonus and the actual bonus is team performance on the park circa £300,000 then the rest is made up of gifts, pensions etc.
