Izzy was outstanding at the weekend, he deserves his place today.

Really? Really? Izzy, off form, is still ten times better at left-back than Mulgrew. Also guessing you haven't seen Saturday's match when Izzy looked back to his best - excellent throughout the whole game. McGeady would tear Mulgrew to shreds...

Lenny has been clever if you ask me - he has both Mulgrew and Izzy to combat the threat down that side.

Izzy will be up against McGeady, I'm sure he plays on the right for Spartak.

Decent team. Surprised Lustig starts, I would've kept him on the bench. Neil said Ambrose can play at RB, so...

No he's definitely not mate just the way I've put it down to show yous quick. I reckon we're aiming to play a 4-1-4-1 with Samaras occasionally supporting Hooper from left.

I visited Glasgow last time Spartak played @ parkhead. There were at least 250-300 fans from Russia came especially for the game, despite high prices, English visa costs, etc. Plus there were couple of hundreds Russians living on the island, maybe even more at the game.

Btw, i enjoyed the trip, the country, scotch whiskey with salmon , and it was a great game, we lost on penalties.

Lennon is playing it smart, we are able to keep it tight and strong at the back, but will be very dangerous going forward with Commons and Samaras supplying to Gary Hooper.

    I'm confident.

Team looks good. Obviously Ledley isn't match fit. That's the only reason he isn't playing.

    Hurry up 5pm!!!

imo this team gives us a very flexible formation.

    we can play as:

    4-4-2
(with Commons, Brown, Wanyama, and Mulgrew in the midfield and Samaras and Hooper up top)

4-3-3 (with Brown, Wanyama, Mulgrew in midfield and Samaras, Commons and Hooper in attack)

    4-5-1 (with Hooper up top)

4-4-1-1 (with Hooper up top supported by either Samaras or Commons)

4-3-2-1 (Brown, Wanyama, Mulgrew as more defensive minded midfielders; Samaras and Commons as attacking midfielders and Hooper as a lone striker)

4-2-3-1 (with Wanyama and Mulgrew as defensive midfielders; Samaras, Commons and Brown as more attack minded midfielder and Hooper gain up top)

as a conclusion i think we can change the style of play as well as the formation if need be which is a massive plus! 'mon the hoooops!

absolutely buzzing! can't wait for this to start!!!!

EDIT: we can also play a 4-1-4-1 if need be! :D

Good strong team. Now for the Bhoys to just go out there and get the result.

It's a total myth that Izzy can't defend, I honestly don't know where this comes from.

He also doesn't get caught upfield as much these days and with Mulgrew there to cover for him he can roam forward a little bit more than usual.

it will all depend on whether we qualify for a 2nd spot by that time, or europa league, Glasgow weather can be nasty in December.
