I have seen the full video, my take on it is different from spacecentre.nz.

    Link me to it.

    This explains that for you.

They have debunked it, as have several others. I've seen the full video, he didn't slip up. The websites I'm using are credible, you're not providing any evidence at all.

    Link me to them.

You do realise these guys are astronauts, and to become an astonaut takes a * of a lot of studying, hard work and experience. You need at least a master's degree or equivalent in a STEM subject and even that on its own isn't enough.

    NASA's requirements, for example:
    1. Be a U.S. citizen
    2. Possess a master's degree* in a STEM field, including engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science or mathematics, from an accredited institution.
    3. Have at least two years of related professional experience obtained after degree completion or at least 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time on jet aircraft.
    4. Be able to pass the NASA long-duration flight astronaut physical.
*The master's degree requirement can also be met by:

    • Two years (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) of work toward a doctoral program in a related science, technology, engineering or math field.
    • A completed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
    • Completion (or current enrollment that will result in completion by June 2021) of a nationally recognized test pilot school program.
Astronaut candidates must also have skills in leadership, teamwork and communications.

Yet, they're somehow 'fuckwits'? Come on, man. Do yourself a favour and stop believing such nonsense.

A don't care what that website says, no way in the 60s where they able to broadcast a live signal a distance of around 250 thousand miles. A cant even watch a 2 minute YouTube video without buffering at my workplace in Argyll. Even people on hear cannae watch the Celtic game on premier sports without any problems. But aye they got a perfect signal in the 60s from earth to the moon.

I'm pretty sure there is a conspiracy theory thread on here so can all this be moved there, please?

It's ruining a nice thread that definitely wasn't created for this conversation.

    Cheers.

Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it's not possible.

It wasn't a perfect signal from the moon, the picture quality was terrible. They had to create very specific equipment over years, testing it over and over again, for the footage to even be usable or transmittable.

Your analogy of Youtube or watching football online is irrelevant. The internet doesn't use TV broadcast signals to transmit.

Have you even considered what it would have taken to fake the moon landing ffs? A rocket did actually launch. There was years of testing and planning. It was actually easier to go to the moon than fake it, years and years of documents and experiments would have had to have been faked too. :56:

They have actual rocks from the moon, I've even seen a fragment of one in person at the NHM in London. If you don't want to believe it happened, feel free. Just no that there's absolutely no credible evidence to support this and a plethora of evidence to prove it did actually happen.

    Bonkers :56:

I used to love conspiracy theories when I was a bit younger, am now embarrassed to have been in such company lol.

Anyway, just watched Cosmos - A Space Time Odyssey with Neil degrase tyson there, cracking wee doc to show maybe a young teenager to open up this fascinating topic to them. Sitting down with my 12 year old son with it at some point and hopefully get him interested in it.

Proof? We bounce lasers off the reflectors they left to measure the distance to the moon on a regular basis. It's how we know the moon is moving away from the earth. But no doubt aliens left those there as we didn't do it. And clearly every university that has been doing research into that has been hoodwinked as well I take it. That's a lot of made up PhD thesis.

Of course the space centre would say that.

I actually did Google it and thought someone would say it.

Still no proof is it , not 100%

Yep , but disagreeing with anything makes us conspiracy theorists.

Because that's when they placed the reflectors. Or is it merely a coincidence that the data they started recording came at the same time as the landings?

You say you aren't a CT, yet seem to think that inflation is somehow due to them perpetuating the lie of the moon landings. Don't you think that sounds like a conspiracy theory?

But as Marty pointed out this isn't really the thread to continue this further, so I shall leave it at that.
