Won't need much of a trophy room for their one FA cup. Even Pompey have more!
-
Mind that time they won an FA cup? Huge. Possibly bigger achievement than winning the world cup.

Southampton are significantly bigger than any non Old Firm team in Scotland. Put them in the Scottish league for 130 years and they'd have won the occasional league title, like the non Old Firm teams have done. -

For a non Old Firm team to win the league they mainly have to just out do Celtic and Rangers. For Southampton to win the league they need to outdo... Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds etc etc. It is a significantly harder challenge.
Southampton did come close, only 3 points from winning the top flight in 1984 and have also had a number of other very high finishes in the top league.Last edited: Jul 26, 2024 -

If we had premier league money like Southampton then we still probably be looking for a wolves player on loan and haggling over the price of Idah and Bernardo.
I'd be more interested in getting our own house in order than comparing ourselves to other clubsmartin_d and thailandceltic like this. -
Probably the biggest club right on the south coast of England.

Saints averaged 22k in the 3rd tier, 29k in the 2nd tier and 30k+ in the top tier. So why on earth would it drop to 9k? -
