Some header from 10 yards out. Should have been 2-0 soon after. Think I'll catch up with the scores tomorrow.

I like the 2nd Uruguay goal. Almost Larsson-esque the way he lobbed it over the keeper.

After tonight it looks like the Argentine league is over. San Lorenzo's 2 x 1 defeat away to Olimpo leaves them six points behind Boca Juniors with two games left. That loss and Rosario Central's win means those two swap places and Rosario go into the automatic Libertadores places, five points behind Boca. If they stay there it will be Rosario's first go at it since 2006.

Boca Juniors are away to Racing Club later. Win that and its theirs. A very impressive turn around under Rodolfo Arruabarrena. But if they lose that (and maybe Tigre do something against them - big if there) and Rosario keep winning it makes the last game amazing - Boca Juniors away to Rosario, against this....

The Brazilian title race looks to finished as well. Atlético Mineiro getting destroyed by Sport Recife leaves them eight points behind Corinthians with seven games left. One of those games is Atlético-MG x Corinthians though.

Corinthians tonight were great. They played at a high tempo, using the ball well throughout the game. Malcom played well too, giving Vágner Love plenty of goal scoring opportunitys. Elias again showed that he is probably too good for this league.

Sport's win has also put them back in the run for the last Libertadores place. Now Santos; Palmeiras, São Paulo, Internacional, Ponte Preta and Sport are separated by three points. Flamengo's defeat seems to have knocked them out of that race and back into their seemingly natural home of mid-table obscurity.
