    In the Brazilian league Vasco managed to score for a change. Nenê scored from a penalty, which is Vasco's first goal since the 26 July in the league. So far this year they have played more strikers than they have goals. Still, their league forms reads six defeats in a row. They're 12 points adrift with a goal difference of -34.

    Ronaldinho played only 9 games for Fluminense. He didn't score any goals, had no assists and was booed by the fans in almost every game and so his contract with the club has been contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

    The end is nigh for him I think.

    Not only Barcelona missing Messi......Argentina currently 0-2 down at home to Ecuador in World Cup Qualifying with 5 minutes left!!!

    Amazed with that Ecuador result. Especially with that big donkey Frickson Erazo scoring haha. I missed all the games but as soon as I seen his name on the score sheet I just knew he scored with his head from a set piece.

    Chile still riding high, Brazil still pish poor and Uruguay winning comfortably at altitude is impressive as well.

    Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Brazil would be my picks for automatic qualification. Have a feeling Ecuador could pip Uruguay and Paraguay with their great home form for that last place.

    Honestly mate they looked so comfortable defending.....Argentina's chances were so limited.
    Towards the end you could almost predict them going up and scoring!

    You almost sensed how aware they were that Messi wasnt playing......it was like a buffalo being attacked a by a couple of young male lions having that inner knowledge they werent up to the job!

    Its a shame for Ecuador too. Bolivia at home is a sure fire win but these pitch conditions are giving Bolivia an extra defender. If Ecuador go out because they lost points to the rain while everyone else got a clean shot at Bolivia it will be a kick in the balls.

    Bolivia must have put pressure on the ref. They must have come up with something along the lines of "we can't afford to travel back and play this game or book an extra night in a hotel". Which, in fairness, they probably can't :52:
