    Corinthians stayed strong in the early storm of Mineiro chances and have got their reward.

    The Engenhão, the home of Botafogo and where the athletics at the 2016 Olympics will take place has caught fire. The fire was visible from the pitch but no one was hurt.

    The Engenhão was a giant waste of money. It was poorly built, meaning it's spent most of it's existence out of use. It was used a lot when the Maracanã was being rebuilt and was wildly unpopular.

    Do you think the protests will have the same amount of people as the world cup. exposure in Brazil will probably be the same or there abouts the Olympics is the only thing up there with the world cup

    There will be protests but I don't think they will be as big. Because the World Cup was a national event while the Olympics are all about Rio de Janeiro.

    Rio will see protests, maybe see protests of the same size as before.

    Brazil now has a protest culture that it has never had before. This was evident only a few days ago on the countries Independence Day. This day is normally given over to chauvinistic displays of national might. In Rio protesters threw smoke bombs and blocked a military parade. People don't just accept things like they used to.

    Big games tonight. In Brazil there is the Clássico dos Milhões between Flamengo x Corinthians (combine both teams domestic fan base's and it is greater than the population of the UK) and São Paulo x Cruzeiro, the two leading teams in Brazil currently. Both at 8PM here.

    In Ecuador there is the Clásico del Astillero (the port derby) between Barcelona x Emelec. This is the biggest game in Ecuador and it at 22.45PM here.

    Not much skill in that penalty really. Just smashed it haha. He also turned back the clock and pulled off a wonder save earlier. End of last season, start of this one he looked well past it (fair enough when your 41) but bit of confidence now.

    Teams also came out to AC/DC's *'s Bells at his request. São Paulo and St Pauli family haha

    Also looks like there is trouble at the Bahia game. Police look to have kicked the * out of some torcida. The game is at the older Estádio Joia da Princesa instead of the Fonte Nova. There was overcrowding/crushing problems at this stadium earlier in the year.
