not really understood this rule all i know is if a player gets a certain number of yellows he gets a ban for however long, firstly how many yellows does he need to get for a ban?
Scott Brown is one yellow away from a 2 game ban, what im wondering is does that get cleared after a certain amount of time? if so when?
or does he carry that until end of season or he gets a yellow and recieves his ban?

good link, it pretty much tells you its there for the season, the number resets after the season, so if brown gets one more yellow at anytime for the rest of the season he will get a 2 game ban

Thats is not good news that Brown is 1 yellow away from missing 2 games through suspension. Lets face it the chances of Brown getting through the next 7 games without a yellow are pretty slim.
-
So in Browns case he's so far accumulated 35 points, between this season and last season? Is that right? -

I think that is right Squire, need Dempsey to clarify though.
Its a toughy, you ask Brown to calm down and you take a big part of his game away. -

Yeh I was looking at this the other day, noticed Brown was the only player in that position for us, as long as he doesn't get booked Wed and Sat he shouldn't miss the huns game.
Noticed Bougherra, Boyd and Mendes are only 1 booking away from a suspension too. -
does anyone have a link to show spl players disciplinary points. im interested to see whichn other players from ourselves and otheres a walking a tightrope.
Also correct me if im wrong but when mgeady got suspended last year leading up to the old firm game at new year im sure the ban did not take immediate effect. can anyone clarify this. -

i would rest him against falkirk and play crosas and hartley or caldwell and crosas.
-
just read the rules again and if brown gets booked the suspension doesn't kick in for 14 days and then he would miss the 2 games after that 2 week period.
-
So Brown will miss the first two games of the split (one against Rangers), am I right?
-
And is Bougherra suspended as well?
-

Needs changing alright.
Still, if Bougherra is suspended then that'd more than make up for the loss of Brown.
